I bought a pair of waterproof boots just before Christmas for the snow in Canada and hardly ever wore them there. I didn’t expect to need them for Bramhall. It’s less than a month ll Easter but I suspect most of us won’t be going very far this year. It’s a pity but who knows what this Coronavirus will bring in that me? MARCH 2020

**Greetings from Your Chairman** When I wrote the this item, I assumed the monthly meeting would be going ahead. *I regret that we have now cancelled all our meetings until further notice on medical advice.* *The committee will keep monitoring developments and let you know in due course when we can resume.* I hope it won’t be too long before we can all see each other again.

Did you enjoy our wettest February ever? If it keeps up, we’ll all have to grow webbed feet. I bought a pair of waterproof boots just before Christmas for the snow in Canada and hardly ever wore them there. I didn’t expect to need them for Bramhall. However, “That’s life!” as Esther Rantzen used to say. Our generation have been through a lot worse over the decades so I’m sure we’ll survive. “Keep calm and carry on.” as was said during the last war. It’s less than a month till Easter but I suspect most of us won’t be going very far this year. It’s a pity but who knows what this Coronavirus will bring in that time? In the meantime, let’s keep washing our hands and singing Happy Birthday to me, twice. I’m quite enjoying doing that. It somehow cheers me up singing to myself. Cheers, Alaister Macrae
