For those who have dreamed of owning, breeding and selling high quality bloodstock this new initiative launched

by the Irish National Stud offers a unique opportunity. We propose to lower the risk of bloodstock ownership and to bring it to a wider network. We have created an opportunity to own a small share in a portfolio of high class mares.

In addition to the shares in the stock, members will enjoy frequent social days out to stud farms,stable yards and race-days as well as annual membership to the Irish National Stud & Gardens.

The stud has purchased six in-foal broodmares and will offer 25 shares to prospective investors on a first come first served basis.

The stud will retain 25 shares in the scheme but in return will provide six nominations for the mares in 2018 including three to our flagship stallion Invincible Spirit, who stands for a fee of €120,000. An upfront payment of €20,000, which includes a €4,000 annual fee to cover expenses such as keep, veterinary costs, etc., is sought from investors to join the scheme which will commence January 1 2018 and will be wound up at the end of December 2021 when all stock will be liquidated.

In year two the scheme will require investors to contribute an additional €4,000 per annum, per share, thereafter towards the cost of stallion nominations which will not be restricted to stallions on the INS roster. At this stage investors should be in line to receive a dividend from the proceeds of selling the foals that were purchased in-utero.

Costs Explained50 fractional shares will be created to syndicate the entire portfolio.

The syndicate will operate for a fixed term of four (4) years from 1st January 2018 to December 2021.

The INS will supply 6 nominations in 2018 to the same value of €400,000, including 3 to Invincible Spirit, to acquire 25 shares.

The remaining 25 shares will be offered at €16,000 each, to a maximum of 3 per shareholder.

A fully capped annual fee of €4,000 per share will apply to include all keep, insurance, foaling fees, veterinary expenses, registrations, sales expenses, management and all other costs incurred in each calendar year from Jan 1st to December 31st.

From year two onwards a €4,000 per share annual fee for nominations expenses will be charged.

There will be no further call on funds.

The progeny will be sold as foals each year, unless the individual requires more time. The income attained from the sale of the progeny as foals will be divided pro rata once these fees and charges have been met.

All stock including mares and foals will be sold at the end of the term (December 2021).

The best stallions available will be selected from INS and other farms. In the event of a mare not going in foal these funds will be redistributed to shareholders on a pro rata basis.

Shares will be allocated on a first come first serve basis on receipt of the signed syndicate agreement and year one payment of €20,000 (€16,000 + €4,000 annual expenses).
