What is KIWIN'S and Key Club International?

KIWIN’S, the 32nd District of Key Club International is a student-led organization that promotes the

development of character and leadership through community service within the Kiwanis family. There

are many different levels to KIWIN'S: Marina (Club Level) --> Jet (Division Level)--> CNH KIWIN'S (District Level) --> Key Club International

(International Level) !Is there a difference between KIWIN'S and

Key Club?

While KIWIN'S may be smaller, Key Club and KIWIN'S are sister clubs. We both reside under Key Club

International. KIWIN'S, however, emphasizes the spirit of our "ohana." Ohana means family & family means

no one gets left behind.

A HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SHOWED UP! It was wonderful to see all of your beautiful

faces there! Everyone met up at the Fountain Valley

Recreational Center in the early morning, and from there, our members were assigned various jobs. We helped set up the signs, posters, and

tables. During the race, Marina KIWIN'S cheered on the runners and handed out water to them. At the end, we handed out medals to

all of the amazing runners!

September - Ariel David Although Ariel is new to high school as well as KIWIN’S, she has shown extreme enthusiasm towards helping others so far. Through helping out with preparations for the Marina KIWIN’S booth at our school’s upcoming Club Rush, she has displayed that she is willing to dedicate her time towards being of assistance. During the month of September, Ariel brought herself and her positive to every poster-making session after school and lent us a hand by brainstorming ideas for posters, painting them, and hanging them up. She does not hesitate to befriend new people and get to know them. As one of the first to usually volunteer for a job, it is evident that she genuinely enjoys being a supportive team member wherever she goes.

October - Travis Ponce Since the beginning of the school year, Travis has shown dedication and love for

KIWIN'S. He was shy in the beginning of the year, but has gradually learned to open up at events and meet and talk to new members. He is always eager to volunteer and

share his experiences in KIWIN'S. After all events he goes to, he posts pictures and makes statuses on Facebook describing how fun his day was at the KIWIN'S event. In the

beginning of the year, he told the board that he was going to be a dedicated member, and his actions have definitely proved that he is and will stay a dedicated member!

Travis also introduced his friend to KIWIN'S who messaged me personally to tell me that he will try to stay an active member in KIWIN'S.

November - Daniel Ramirez This person has very good reason to be nominated for Member of the Month.

November is the time for spirit in KIWIN'S, and this person has shown nothing but that. This particular person was not only willing to learn the cheers, he was not afraid to let his

voice be heard and show his KIWIN'S pride. All throughout Fall Rally you can hear him screaming and yelling in support of Jet. He even was at the front to help lead others in

the cheers. While Fall Rally ended, his spirit did not as he continuously and enthusiastically cheered throughout his time at Knott's. Furthermore, he called out

board members at school with the "How Do You Feel Cheer" and even participated himself.
