Student News
Beginning SY 2014-15, the requirements for graduation cords will change. You will receive a cord if you have achieved the following:
Completed a national program or passed a national assessment such as the IB diploma program or passed an IB, AP, or EOPT.
Participated in a nationally recognized organization such as BETA, National Honor Society, or any other that is recognized across states that is based on achievement.
Been awarded any cords that the system gives to all SCCPSS schools.
Completed anything that is presented to the school improvement team or principal to be approved that may not meet the above stipulations.
Attention All Sophomores and Freshmen! Are you interested in completing a CTAE
Pathway and gaining practical real world experiences while challenging yourself
academically? If so, the IBCC is the program for you!
The IBCC is a rigorous program that allows students to pursue their career interests
while still taking IB level courses. Students will be given an opportunity to explore their
career interests and learn skills that will make them marketable to current and future
employers. Students will take courses that will prepare them for the rigors of college, while
allowing flexibility within their schedule for courses like band, chorus or art.
Learn more about this exciting new program that Windsor will be offering next year!
Please come to an informational meeting Thursday March 20, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the Media
Center.
Ms. Szabo’s upperclassmen theatre classes will be performing a
collection of One Act plays adapted from famous short stories on
March 21 at 6 pm. The price of admission is a non-perishable food
item per person to be donated to an area food pantry.

STUDENT ACCESS IS NOW
AVAILABLE
Students can now check their own grades and attendance!
High School students now have access to PowerSchool Parent Access at www.sccpss.com. Click on the family tab and scroll down to the PowerSchool Parent Access link. Students can login in with their computer login and original password. See your media specialist if you need your login.
Student School Email Accounts
The login and password is the same as the computer login and password. The email address will be [email protected]. Students can access it through the WFHS home page > Resources tab or the SCCPSS home page> Students tab. This provides access to their Google drive and Gmail account. Students must login to it from a school computer before it will work from home or a personal device.
WFHS Electronic Devices Policy
Students may be permitted to use their personal electronic devices for instructional purposes. Students are responsible for the maintenance, support and security of their devices. School staff may confiscate any personal electronic device and school administrators may search the device. Principals can alter, change, or deny the use of personal electronic devices at any time. No device may be used to photo or video other students or staff without prior permission of the teacher or administrator.

The Spanish 1 students at Windsor Forest High School had a fabulous time at Amigos Latin
Grocery! We spent two days enjoying freshly-cooked food, prepared in the ethnic style which
included varieties of authentic tacos prepared ¡A gusto! with all the trimmings. We walked there and
back, ate, and enjoyed the first signs of spring with our tummies as full as robins'. We would like to
thank those that made it possible to immerse our students within the culture and language they are
studying… right up the road, no less!

RECOVERY OF JROTC UNIFORMS
(PARENTS WITH CHILDREN IN THE JROTC
PROGRAM)
Please ensure your son/daughter returns his/her JROTC
uniform by the end of the school year. Uniforms must be
professionally dry-cleaned and will be accepted immediately after
the annual JROTC awards ceremony to be held Thursday, May 1,
2014. With your support and cooperation, our goal is to have all
uniforms turned-in during the week May 5-9, 2014. We will then
use the remaining school days organizing equipment and
conducting inventory. We are asking for parent involvement to
assist us in this effort.
