Highlights since Marquette: Obtained master’s degree in music; having five kids, two of them having perfect scores on the ACT, two of them being Evans' Scholars; several years as a chemist; 60 years as a church organist. I am the housemother for my college sorority, which pledged to Phi Mu after graduation.

Highlights since Marquette: Blessed with a great education which afforded me the chance to work at Loyola U. as a med tech and administrative director of the hospital labs for 25 years.

Married to Betsy Wolfe of Washington, D.C., for 46 years. We are fortunate to live only a mile from the beach in Santa Monica, Calif. We have three children and four grandchildren, all in California. Two of our children are licensed marriage and family therapists, and one is a professional chef. I practice law in Los Angeles, where I specialize in labor and employment law representing management. I collect wine, and we have traveled the world many times to wine and food destinations. In addition to travel, our mutual hobby is dining at fine restaurants. I am a member of the Jonathan Club in Los Angeles, and we spend much our free time at the club's beach facility in Santa Monica. I am also active in the Wine & Food Society of Southern California. I devote substantial time to the Federalist Society, which is a national organization of conservative lawyers. We are members of St. Monica's Parish in Santa Monica. We are also members of Legatus, an organization of Catholic executives.

Highlights since Marquette: Marriage and parenthood, reconnecting with MU friends at reunion 15 years ago and taking trips with them ever since, finding new talents and continuing to grow and learn after returning to work 15 years ago.

On the return trip all his class notes for finals blew out the windows all over the intersection. He was concerned about passing, but we got married anyway two years later. Highlights since Marquette: Jerry retired as National Credit Manager of Bombardier Corp, Recreational Products Division. Mary Ellen managed two soup kitchens in Cincinnati, Ohio, for nine years and now manages the Anthony Food Bank in Kansas.

Phil Maresca College: Engineering 299 Loma Road San Carlos, CA 94070 (650) 594-9304 Spouse: Rosemary Children: Steven and Perry Grandchildren: Maddie Marquette Memories: Though it has been 50 years since I graduated from Marquette with a degree in engineering, some of my memories are so vivid it seems like I left there only a few years ago. I loved every aspect of the Marquette experience, the social and academic. There were the wonderful friendships made at the Sigma Phi Delta fraternity, and the participation with fraternity brothers in varsity varieties, building of the homecoming float, assorted parties, and even the study sessions. As a member of the track team, specializing in the 400 meters, I remember the camaraderie of practicing and competing, and coach Bus Shimek, who was an All American at Marquette, helping us develop our potential as athletes and character. I remember the teachers being available for individual help, and not being too busy with research and writing professional papers for publication. There were the nights at the library, when I had the best intentions to study, but many times it turned into a social event or an opportunity to take a nap. Graduation came too soon. I didn’t need the experience of the work-a-day world to realize how fortunate I was to attend Marquette and how special it was. Highlights since Marquette: As for me, the following is what has gone on in my life since graduating from Marquette:

• My whole career was spent in Silicon Valley, in the San Francisco area, working for several different high tech companies and I retired in 1998.

• I have been married 44 years, and have two sons, Steven and Perry, and a 14-year-old granddaughter, Maddie.

• Rosemary, my wife, had a successful and fulfilling career as an RN, in which she received national recognition for her groundbreaking work in breast cancer education.

• Our two sons played college soccer together and went on to compete for the national championship one year.

• Our oldest son, Steven, has his own business as a personal trainer in Los Angeles, and has a variety of clients, some with physical handicaps, elite athletes, and Hollywood types. He can be seen regularly on Exercise TV and soon on NBC promoting some exercise equipment.

• Our other son, Perry, started an options trading company in South Korea with some Korean friends he worked with on the Pacific Stock Exchange. A wild business, but he loves it. He has been in South Korea for six years, and we get to see each other a couple of times a year.

• After Rosemary retired from nursing four years ago, she worked part time for a fashion designer doing marketing.

• Our health is good, and our retirement years have been fulfilling with travel, golf, ballroom dancing, theater, time with friends, gardening, some volunteer work raising and training guide dogs for the blind, having fun with our ragdoll cat and Labrador retriever, and occasionally do some leisurely reading.

Well that is it in a nutshell for me. It is hard to believe that it has been 50 years since I graduated from Marquette. Cheers.

Mayew (Binsack) 8306-43rd Ave Kenosha, WI 53142 (262) 945-0305 mayew@sbcglobal.net Seasonal Address: 5403 Chantilly Sarasota, FL 34235 Children: Kevin, Greg, Patrick and Nadia Grandchildren: Adam, Claire, Emily, Briana and Casey Marquette Memories: During my senior year I was president of the MU Young Dems. This was 1960 and Senator John Kennedy was actively campaigning against Senator Humphrey in the Wisconsin Presidential Primary. Conventional wisdom was that Kennedy wouldn't speak at any Catholic venue due to the negative emphasis being placed on his being a Catholic in some areas of the country. Through the efforts of myself, John Finerty and others we were able to secure Senator Kennedy's appearance for a speech at the Old Gym. The place was packed to the rafters. This was a great opportunity to show off Marquette and the student body responded enthusiastically.
