FOR YOUR REFLECTION… We like spectacular things and great events. If there are miracles, they should not be tiny, but rather large, spectacular and amazing. If we have to do something for God, we hope that it is heroic and noteworthy, but God's way is very different. God does not ask for sacrifices, but hearts. He does not ask for amazing feats, but simply the meeting of two people who know how to recognize and celebrate God’s presence among them. Daily life is where we encounter the amazing fact that God walks with us and becomes one of us. In the giving of the sincere heart is where we find the favor of God. Sometimes, that simple act means more effort and more dedication than the dazzling feat, because a dazzling feat happens immediately, but quickly disappears. However, the daily surrender, the saying yes to God as Mary did, the relationship and the service of those near us requires our whole heart, attention and love, in good and bad moments. The Incarnation of the Son of God in Mary is amazing; but it is not a passing and noisy act. Elizabeth’s pregnancy at a late age is wonderful and miraculous; but it is because Elizabeth recognizes where she comes from and is willing to give her son to the service of God. The great favors that God gives us are in themselves admirable; but they do not have to be bright or noisy. The grateful heart sees them in all their greatness.

No pide sacrificios, sino corazones.

OUR STEWARDSHIP The gospel today tells us of the

Virgin Mary, pregnant and going to visit her cousin Elizabeth. Mary is the

model of selflessness, as one pregnant with the Savior, she also

gave of her time and love to others.

EL DIÁCONO FÉLIX HERNÁNDEZ

El diácono Félix Hernández ha

optado por dejar el ministerio

diaconal, efectivo inmediatamente.

Esto significa que ya no usará el

título “diácono” ni presidirá en

bautismos, matrimonios, funerales

o quinceañeras. Le agradecemos

por su servicio a nuestra parroquia

y sabemos que esta decisión no le

fue fácil tomar. Es necesario

mostrarle que él es un miembro

amado, importante y apreciado

para nuestra comunidad de fe.

Podemos mostrarle nuestro aprecio

al no participar en rumores o

chismes, y al tenerlo a él y a su

familia en nuestras oraciones. Si

usted tiene alguna pregunta, favor

de comunicarse con Félix. Gracias

por su comprensión.
