three wheelers. It offers over 20 models including new generation multi-utility vehicles

likethe ScorpioandtheBolero.

At the 2008 Delhi Auto Show, Mahindra executives said the company ispursuing an

aggressiveproductexpansionprogramthatwouldsee thelaunchofseveralnewplatforms

andvehiclesoverthenextthreeyears, includinganentry -level SUVdesignedtoseatfive

passengersandpoweredbya small turbodieselengine. True to theirword, Mahindra &

MahindralaunchedtheMahindra XyloinJanuary2009, andasofJune2009, the Xylohas

soldover15000 models.

Also in early 2008, Mahindra commenced its first overseas CKD operations with the

launchof the Mahindra Scorpio in Egypt, inpartnership with the Bavarian Auto Group.

ThiswassoonfollowedbyassemblyfacilitiesinBrazil. Vehiclesassembledattheplantin

Bramont, Manaus, include Scorpio PickUpsinsingleanddoublecabpick-upbodystyles

aswellas SUVs.

The US based Reputation Institute recently ranked Mahindra among the top 10 Indiancompaniesinits'Global200: TheWorld'sBestCorporate Reputations'list.

February 2010 in North America, through an independent distributor, Global Vehicles

USA,basedin Alpharetta, Georgia. Mahindrahasannounceditwillimportpickuptrucks

from India inknockdown kit (CKD)form to circumvent theChicken tax. CKDs are

completevehiclesthatwillbeassembledintheU.S. fromkitsofpartsshippedincrates.
