BLESS A SOLDIER AT CHRISTMAS The Marvin Military Care Committee would like to honor our soldiers serving overseas by collecting items now through Nov. 15 for a Christmas mail-ing. A collection tub will be located near the Welcome Center.

Suggested Items include: Christmas items (flat or-naments, crosses, candy, signed Christmas cards), Chef Boyardee (don’t need a can opener), microwavable mac and cheese, drink mix packets for them to put in water such as Crystal Light or Powerade, snacks of any kind, baby wipes or individually packaged handi-wipes, dental items (floss, floss toothpicks), hard candy, socks, toiletries, small American flags, let-ters of encouragement, pictures saying “Thank You” (this would be a great Sunday school pro-ject for any age class!)

Donations to help underwrite the cost of the mail-ing can be brought to the Welcome Center or left in the collection plate and will be greatly ap-preciated.

If you know someone serving overseas, let us know. There are sign-up postcards at the Wel-come Center or just e-mail the current name and address to Melissa Brigman ([email protected]).
