magnificat

His mercy flows wave after wave on those who are in awe before him.  He has showed his strength by cutting through the idle pride of those who brag, He knocks tyrannical leaders off their high horses, and pulls victims out of the mud.

The starving poor he invites to the banquet, and the self centred and callous rich he sends away and leaves out in the cold.

Therefore, brothers and sisters,

I urge you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.
