Parking is available in the PPG Place parking garage with entrance located on Third Avenue. Discounted parking rate of $5 applies after 4:00PM Monday through Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. A photo ID is required to access the garage.

PPG Place sparkles with excitement as we kick off the holidays at our Annual Light-Up Night festivities and the opening of The MassMutual Pittsburgh Ice Rink for the season.
4:45PM RMU Island Sports Figure Skating ShowRobert Morris University Island Sport Center’s Figure Skating Academy opens the evening’s festivities with a “Rockin Christmas” skating show.
5:00PM East End KidsThis talented group gets in the spirit of the season with a dazzling performance.
5:30 – 6:00PM American Cancer Society’s Tribute of Light Ceremony and Plaza Tree Lighting
The Plaza will glisten with the glow of lights as over 300 individuals carrying hand-held Tribute of Light memorials will surround The MassMutual Pittsburgh Ice Rink at PPG Place. Each glowing memorial will be dedicated in the name of someone touched by cancer. The lit ceremony culminates with the lighting of the breathtaking 65’ Plaza Christmas tree by seven-year-old Gabriel Aguirre of Rayburn Township, Armstrong County. All proceeds from this event benefit The American Cancer Society.

The MassMutual Pittsburgh Ice Rink at PPG Place, downtown Pittsburgh’s only outdoor ice skating rink, opens for the season. Magic Ice USA is donating $1 of each skate admission on November 17 to the American Cancer Society.

Spirits of Giving Around The World
See the splendor of the holidays come alive during PPG Place’s breathtaking “Spirits of Giving Around the World” exhibit.
This enchanting display of life-size Santas and original paintings captures a whole world of Christmas folklore and fantasy.
Capture memories of Christmases past in the Wintergarden where a tree larger than any from your childhood awaits you. Our spectacular 32-foot tree is adorned with magnificent ornaments and gifts symbolic of this most special season of giving.
Exhibit is free to the public.
Sounds of The Season
Enjoy the sounds of the season in the Wintergarden as a variety of local choirs and musicians perform every day from December 1 through December 26.
15th Annual Gingerbread House Display
It’s “Home SWEET Home” once again at PPG Place this holiday season!Don’t miss this magnificent display of delicious dwellings created by area students, chefs, organizations, and individuals.
The display has been listed as one of the five best gingerbread house displays in the United States by Livability.com and USA Today has named it one of the ten best places to see gingerbread houses!
Donations to the Children’s Hospital’s Free Care Fund are collected in the Wintergarden.
Exhibit is free to the public.
