EARTH-KIND BEDS AT BOTANICAL GARDENS— Each of the five beds is maintained by a team, whose work day may vary. The group
meets Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. If you would like to get involved contact Paul Parr for
information at [email protected]. There were 184 reported volunteer hours for mainte-
nance of the Earth Kind gardens. I know that there were a few more donated hours, but were not
reported. On a Saturday in February, we need to have a work party. In bed #1, the roses need to be
pruned and the bulb clover needs to be dug up. Beds #2, salvia, and bed # 3, grasses, needs prun-
ing. Beds #4 and #5, vegetables and herbs will need some work. Jessica Latimer is in charge of
those beds and will decide what needs to be done. I will send out an email to ask for help on the
Thursday preceding Saturday when the weather report calls for a good day. Hope you can come
and earn volunteer hours. Bring your own tools if desired. The Gardens will have tools available.

growing season. FMI contact Mary Lambert at 813.7596 or [email protected]
