Educational objectives of the course : The objective of teaching the first year of the Master Molecular Chemistry oriented toward life science is to provide students with a solid foundation in molecular chemistry, spectroscopy and to the interfaces. In this context, three tracks are offered in order to integrate students with initial training more oriented chemistry or biology.

GOALS
Fundamental and transversal education: master concepts in coordination chemistry, non-covalent interactions and enzyme catalysis to understand (self-assembly, chemical and biological complex structures, recognition and reactivity in biological systems) and create (functions, coupling recognition-detection devices).
Prerequisite : Understanding and Mastering basic knowledge and concepts in general chemistry (thermodynamics, organic reactivity, coordination)

Part II: Supramolecular Chemistry - B. Colasson historical and definitions: new paradigms (chemical bonding at large, rather than as functional group functions rather than reactive); new concepts (association, recognition, pre-organization, complementarity); New Horizons (orga-border inorga chemistry, chemistry, organic, physical chemistry) for understanding phenomena and applications. - First examples emergence of the field: crown ethers (Lehn, Pedersen, Cram). - Domain of supramolecular chemistry: the weak interactions. - Chemistry of equilibria. Part III: Recognition and reactivity in organic chemistry, O. Reinaud - Discovery of the chemistry of biological systems using a metal cofactor for filling very different functions from the hydrolysis of a peptide bond to the oxygen activation for hydroxylating a substrate. GOALS
This course based on organometallic catalysis by transition metals in homogeneous phase allows students to understand the basic concepts of this domain. Particular emphasis is placed on the comprehesion of reaction mechanisms and metal-ligand interactions in order to determine the optimal reaction conditions. The Heck reaction, palladium catalyzed cross-couplings olefin metathesis are studied in detail. Prerequisite: Mastery of basic knowledge and concept in inorganic and organic chemistry.

L’objectif de ce cours est de donner aux étudiants une bonne connaissance de la formation et la réactivité comparée des espèces organométalliques stoechiométriques. Le cours aborde la chimie des dérivés du magnésium, du lithium, du cuivre, du zinc, du bore, de l’aluminum avec l’étude de la chimio, de la régio et de la diastéréosélectivité.

OBJECTIFS
Introduction aux nanosciences et à l’électrochimie.
Cette UE est constituée de trois parties distinctes : « Systèmes moléculaires organisés », « Généralités sur les surfaces » et « Electrochimie ».
Dans le cadre de la première, les objectifs sont de donner de bonnes connaissances sur la thermodynamique des surfaces solides et les interactions solide-gaz, en relation avec les méthodes expérimentales et les applications pratiques.
Pour ce qui est de la seconde partie, il s’agira d’acquérir les concepts et les bases théoriques dans le domaine de la chimie supramoléculaire. L’étudiant est amené aux concepts de la chimie supramoléculaire (par référence à la chimie moléculaire) en commençant par une introduction aux liaisons (interactions) faibles: solide-gaz, solide-liquide et liquide-liquide, pour aborder les milieux condensés, en passant par les différents concepts de base de cette chimie et arriver aux méthodes expérimentales d’élaboration des édifices et systèmes organisés. Les systèmes amphiphiles sont étudiés dans ce cadre.
Enfin, dans la dernière partie, il s’agira de de compléter avec des notions d’électrochimie moléculaire et de présenter les principales applications de l’electrochimie.
Pré requis : Maitrise des connaissances et concept de base en chimie organique acquis en L3 Chimie.

III) Electrochimie (2 ECTS)
Ce cours a deux objectifs : d'une part introduire les éléments fondamentaux d'électrochimie moléculaire nécessaires à la compréhension et l'étude des processus chimiques et biochimiques faisant intervenir des transferts d'électrons, d'autre part donner un bref aperçu de quelques applications industrielles importantes de l'électrochimie. Après quelques brefs rappels sur la nature des interfaces chargées, les différents phénomènes contrôlant une réaction de transfert de charge à une électrode seront étudiés en détail via l’analyse des courbes intensité-potentiel en régime stationnaire. Une introduction à la voltamétrie cyclique permettra de donner un aperçu sur la possibilité d'étudier des systèmes chimiques et biochimiques complexes, où réactions redox et chimiques sont intimement associées. Les principales applications de l’électrochimie telles que le stockage de charges (pile, accumulateur, pile à combustible) et la corrosion seront par la suite développées TP (1 séance de 2x3=6h) portant sur étude d’une technique électrochimique (la voltamétrie cyclique), l’étude de la cinétique de transfert d’électron interfaciale, l’étude des phénomènes de transport de masse par électrode tournante, et enfin l’étude de la catalyse par le matériau d’électrode ou par un catalyseur moléculaire. GOALS
Introduction to Nanoscience and electrochemistry. The EU is made up of three distinct parts: "organized molecular systems", "Overview of surfaces" and "Electrochemistry". As part of the first, the objectives are to give a good knowledge of the thermodynamics of solid surfaces and solid-gas interactions in relation to the experimental methods and practical applications. With regard to the second part, it will acquire the concepts and theoretical basis in the field of supramolecular chemistry. The student is led to the concepts of supramolecular chemistry (by reference to molecular chemistry) starting with an introduction to the links (interactions) low: gas-solid, liquid-solid and liquid-liquid, to address the condensed environments, through the different basic concepts of this chemistry and reach the experimental development of organized structures and systems methods. The amphiphilic systems are studied in this framework. Finally, in the last part, it will be complete with molecular electrochemistry concepts and present the main applications of electrochemistry.
Prerequisite : Mastery of basic knowledge and concept in organic chemistry acquired L3 chemistry.

Maurel III) Electrochemistry (2 ECTS) This course has two objectives: firstly introduce the basic elements of molecular electrochemistry necessary to the understanding and study of chemical and biochemical processes involving electron transfer, but also to give a brief overview of some applications important industrial electrochemistry. After a few brief reminders about the nature of charged interfaces, different phenomena controlling a charge transfer reaction at an electrode will be studied in detail via analysis-potential curves at steady state. An introduction to the cyclic voltammetry will provide insight into the possibility of studying complex chemical and biochemical systems, where redox chemical reactions and are intimately associated. Main the electrochemistry applications such as storage of loads (battery, storage battery, fuel cell) and the corrosion will subsequently developed TP (1 session of 2x3 = 6 hours) study on an electrochemical technique (cyclic voltammetry), the study of the kinetics of interfacial electron transfer, the study of mass transport phenomena rotating electrode, and finally, the study of catalysis by the electrode material or a molecular catalyst. PROGRAMME
Après quelques brefs rappels sur la thermodynamique électrochimique et la nature des interfaces chargées, les différents phénomènes contrôlant une réaction de transfert de charge à une électrode seront étudiés en détail via notamment l’étude approfondie des méthodes stationnaires utilisées en électrochimie. Une introduction à la voltamétrie cyclique permettra de donner un aperçu sur la possibilité d'étudier des systèmes chimiques et biochimiques complexes, où réactions redox et chimiques sont intimement associées. Les principales applications de l’électrochimie telles que le stockage de charges (pile, accumulateur, pile à combustible) ainsi que quelques exemples d’utilisation des techniques électrochimiques en recherche seront par la suite présentées.

This course has two objectives: firstly introduce the basic elements of molecular electrochemistry necessary to the understanding and study of chemical and biochemical processes involving electron transfer, but also to give a brief overview of some applications important industrial electrochemistry.

PROGRAM
After a few brief reminders on electrochemical thermodynamics and the nature of charged interfaces, different phenomena controlling a transfer reaction load to an electrode will be studied in detail including via in-depth study of stationary methods used in electrochemistry. An introduction to the cyclic voltammetry will provide insight into the possibility of studying complex chemical and biochemical systems, where redox chemical reactions and are intimately associated. The main electrochemical applications such as the charge storage (battery, battery, fuel cell) and some examples of using electrochemical research techniques will be presented later. This teaching consists of 12 hours of lessons-TD.

Le milieu naturel est un très bon terrain d'entraînement et d'application de par sa complexité et son évolution constante. Ce programme est divisé en deux parties. La première concerne une description des milieux naturels afin de cerner le fonctionnement du système exploré, et la deuxième présentera les solutions mises en œuvre pour en étudier les propriétés chimiques. Cette deuxième partie est avant tout ax »e sur la pratique avec 18h de TP pour 6 heures de cours/TD. A la fin de cette UE, l'étudiant devra être capable d'une part d'utiliser les méthodes appropriées pour le prélèvement et l'analyse dans un milieu complexe, et d'autre part de rendre des résultats validés avec leur incertitude.

PROGRAM The purpose of this optional EU is learning to quantitatively examine the condition and operation of a multiphase complex environment. The natural environment is a very good training ground and application of its complexity and its constant evolution. This program is divided into two parts. The first is a description of the natural environment to identify how the system explored, and the second will present the solutions implemented to study their chemical properties.
