PROGRAMME STRUCTURE & CONTENT

The Murdoch Master of Human Resource Management consists of 12 units and can be completed in 16 months, spread over 4 academic trimesters, covering 3 units per trimester. Each unit is supported by 36 contact hours conducted on weekday evenings and weekends to suit the busy schedules of our students. The advantage of this structure is that busy executives and managers in the programme are able to concentrate and complete the units on a modular basis.

The Murdoch Master’s degree has definitely put me in a stronger position to justify my credibility, showcase my technical knowledge and thus enable me to negotiate for a significant salary increment of around 15% in my new role.

Murdoch University is a reputable university that offers HR specialisation programmes in Singapore, and knowing that many Government agencies have sponsored their employees to do this course deepened my assurance of its quality and academic standard.

Professional networking is critical for any MBA programme. I believe that the Murdoch’s MHRM, having been established in the market for a long time, does help to attract large numbers of professionals to join its network circle.

When I first joined the programme in 2012, I was working as South East Asia HR Manager in a US life-science Company, Sigma Aldrich. Soon, I will be joining a new MNC chemical company, as its Head of Human Resource, APAC.
