In addition to the introductions of touring spots, aboriginal cultures, local food and snacks, transportation, and accommodation information are listed in details so that visitors can easily experience Nantou.

When getting off Chunghsing Interchange of No. 3 National Highway, just roll down the windows of the car to deeply breathe the fresh air and experience the exuberantly green view. Next to the gateway, lotus ponds are decorated with red buds and the aligned lofty royal palms are welcoming visitors as a troop. This is the Garden City and the paradise on earth, Chunghsing New Village.

In the midsummer of June-August, lotuses are in buds or blooming in ponds. The surrounding green lawn, flowers, and trees as well as the leisure, happy, and mild parents and children create the paradise on earth. Such beautiful pictures are the best shots for visitors and photographers.

Driving along the loop, parents and children are flying kites, running, and playing games on the expansive lawn. Taiwan Provincial Administration Information Hall, located on Chungcheng Road, is worth visiting 921 Earthquake Exhibition Room, Geo-ecology in Taiwan, and Provincial Administration History Review. The previously famous Provincial Administration Special Region, Chunghsing New Village, is designed the streets as checks, mini yards in front of each house, green tunnels everywhere to make it deserve the name of Garden City that many people enjoy cycling around the area. Anytime in a day and anywhere in green lawns, playgrounds, and hiking trails, people are smiling with ease and comfort.

NantouWhen you are in Chunghsing New

Village, don’t forget the osmanthus dried plum juice. Boiling with traditional dark plums, liquorice, hawthorn, and osmanthus, it tastes sweet with sour and the fragrance is strong. Even the richest persons in Taiwan, Tai-ming Kuo couples, are attracted to taste it. If you delight in chewy ice, don’t miss the unique ice-cream in square cookies in the traditional ice shop in the Third Market. Besides, milkshake and papaya milk are also popular.

Heading Nantou City and passing Kuangmingli, Taiwan Historica, on Kuangming 1st Road, covers 2.5 hectares with three buildings exhibiting historical relics. The three buildings separately present the architectural features of typical southern Fukien architecture, renaissance style, and a palace in northern China where abundant historical relics are displayed that they are worth visiting for the development and change of Taiwan’s history.

Before crossing Junkong Bridge, tremendous travel routes are on both left and right turns. First turning left to Nantou County Road 22, the famous fruit winery, Nantou Winery, is located on Tungshan Road. With the huge bucket as the landmark, cute and funny fruit-style chairs, such as pineapples and starfruits, are placed around the bucket. It is famous of grape wine and other fruit wine and has become a popular touring spot for handy gifts. Near the winery, a local food restaurant, established by the companions in Chungliao Community serves special vegetarian dishes.

Crossing the bridge to Nantou City, the landmark, Lumei Bridge, is a red steel-drawbridge, crossing Maolo River. The colorful lights in evenings would catch visitors’ eyes. On both banks of the river, cycling path and walkway are well-planned that it has become a popular spot for recreational activities and cycling.

Historical relics among alleys

Visiting Nantou City for the first time, the ordinary streets might be similar to those in other towns and villages in Taiwan. However, visitors are often surprised with the historical relics hidden among the alleys. “Master sees the doorway”; when you slow down to explore the city, you will experience the joy of travelling in the city.

Wute Temple, located next to the loop in Nantou City, was established in Japanese colonial period and is recovered and re-opened after the 921 Earthquake as Nantou County History Hall and Nantou County Artists Information Ha l l now. Two T a n g - d y n a s t y and Japanese style historic sites are worth stopping over.

Along Changnan Road toward Wenchang Road, a 170-year-old third-grade monument, Lantien Academy, integrates southern Fukien architecture with Taiwanese temple. Wenchang God is now enshrined in the Academy. The architecture presents the unique culture of Taiwanese academies.

Parallel with Changnan Road, another third-grade monument, Peitien Temple, is located on Chungshan Road. It is a Mazu Temple where a magnificent ceremony is taken place on June 15th of lunar calendar, when it is the birthday of the City God. Seventh Lord, Eighth Lord, Cow Head, Horse Face, and the City God patrol and parade the streets in the city. The night market on Chungshan Road goes on for three days and nights that the generally peace and quiet Nantou City suddenly becomes a busy and noisy sleepless city.

Chungshan Park, built in Japanese colonial period, is located behind Nantou City Office. With huge old trees, abundant plants, and natural lotus pond, it is a relaxing place in busy streets. Chufang House, a historic site built in Japanese colonial period, is now a Café restaurant for visitors who would like to have a quiet rest.

Local taste of Nantou Yi noodles anddeep-fried oysters

Nanout Yi noodles is the unique and famous local food in Taiwan that Yi noodles shops are everywhere in the city. In addition to the simple food, soft and slippery noodles with unique minced pork sauce and spring onions are absolutely unforgettable. Besides, the tasty and cheap braised pork rice is a traditional dish in Taiwan.

In the old shops in Nantou, oysters and leek as the filling covered with rice paste, the delicious deep-fried snack with radish soup, meat ball soup, or tofu soup is the wonderful combination.

With experiences and skills, special but cheap Taiwanese meat balls, millet egg cakes, and hand-made egg rolls are the local snacks.

Changnan Road used to be the major road from Changhua to Nantou that there are many traditional bakeries, such as Kungmeihsiang, Shihyitang, Sanyuanchen, and Sanfeng Bakery. The traditional pastries and cakes are always the popular handy gifts.

Turning to Nankang Industrial District, two tourism factories are worth visit ing. In Jong-yong Flower Remedy Essential Oil, visitors can visit the products of cosmetics, be acquainted with natural cosmetics and essential oil, and experience DIY of essential oil candles and soaps. For a group of visitors, vanilla-flavored meal can be booked.

Shanglee Energetic Pigs mainly produces fresh pork and processed meat and is transited to a tourism factor in 2004. In the exhibition room, there are free samples and hundreds of collections, pictures, and text exposition about pigs. Especially, visitors would not miss the four spirits soup and the port feet.

Fair landscape on Baguashan　 Leisure for tea-tasting

Baguashan, which borders Nantou City on the west with Changhua County, is the back garden of Nantou City. Going along Mintsu Road up to Bagua Road (County Road 139) and turning toward the north, Houtanjing Recreation Area is on top of the mountain. Visitors can overlook the scenery of Changhua plains and the trains of HSR shuttling back and forth. Both the beautiful sunset and the attractive night scene have made it the most popular hiking trail for hikers and cyclists in Nantou City and Yuanlin Township.

A platform for eagle-watching and trails are constructed by He n g s h a n C o m m u n i t y i n Baguashan. A lot of tourists are appealed to watching eagles migrating over Baguashan in spring.

Travelling around Baguashan, visitors are astonished by the beautiful scenery of litchi, tea, and pineapple farms. Pumpkin Festival and Litchi Festival are taken place annually in Yunghsin Community. More than 60kgs pumpkin contest and pumpkin meals with local specialties are popular. When the local pineapple cakes are promoted, it has become a trend. The cakes are made of local pineapples; the fragrant flavor and the strong taste are so popular that it has created a new economic miracle.

Heading south on Bagua Road, rows of tea trees, pineapples, yams, and gingers are along the road. Here is Mingjiang Village in which most tea leaves in Taiwan are grown. In tea-picking period, the tea fragrance fills the village, and farmers and tea-pickers are busy on the farms.

Turning to Tea Path next to Kunghsieh Elementary School (Way No. 139), visitors could experience the tour in tea farms. The total 2.6km Path connects the tea farms between Sungpoling and Tienchung Forest Park. Many traditional Taiwanese houses with three-section compound and tea factories are next to tea farms.


Sungpoling Shoutien Temple, built in 1846, has always been a tourist attraction in Mingjiang Village. Hsuantien God is enshrined in the Temple, with good attendance. Standing on the temple square, visitors would hold the panoramic view of western plains and the coast. There are also hiking trails to Erhshui. The shopping street in front of the archway of the Temple is extremely busy on holidays. In addition to tea barrels standing in front of shops to tout for visitors, various local agriculture products are suitable for handy gifts.

Chungliao Village (Nantou County Way No. 22)

Chungliao – the villagefull of longan forests

Next to Nantou City, Chungliao village is a typical agricultural village, where bananas, tangerines, and oranges are planted. With the conserved natural resources, the village is not polluted that it is worth slowing down to roam around the village.

From Nantou Winery, Nantou County Way No. 22 is the access road of Chungliao. Having visited Nantou Winery, visitors could follow the signs to an Herb Park and further to Yutaohsiang Recreation Farm. There are abundant ecological resources in the farm. When visiting Chungliao Village in summer, Longfeng Waterfall and Taiwan Incense Cedar Forest are recommended. With the fresh air and cool water on the face, all the worries are washed away. Longyanlin Recreation Farm is famous of the dried longans. In the period of longan harvest, annual Longan Festival is taken place in the farm. Longans are the main crop in Chungliao Village.

Within the area of about 1,000 hectares, the annual yield reaches millions kilograms. Having longans baked on the red-brick stove for three days, the fragrance of longans being charcoal-baked for a long period time is particularly popular.

Following County Road 139 from Nantou City toward South Chungliao, the old street in Yungping Village is passed. Forwarding Neishan, the natural scenery of Hsienfenglin Sun-moon Cave, Chessboard Stones, and Chienchang Rock are unique and full of legends. Lots of hematite and special stones are in streams; and, there are many streams in Chingliao area where shellfish fossils are popular that many stone-lovers would come to collect them.

Visiting Chungliao Village at any time, there are seasonal fruits. Pahsien Chicken House in Pahsien Village is a popular local food restaurant. The traffic network in Chungliao Village is like a web, with a lot of junctions that it is suggested to travel in a group or visit with few companions.

Arts Boulevard with landscape scenery

Chungtang Highway connects Taichung City and Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration in Yuchih Township, Nantou County, passing Tsaotun, Kuoshing, and Puli Township. The humanistic scenery combines arts, countryside, and relics and becomes a diverse art boulevard.

Visitors could drive on Chungtou Highway or National Highway No. 3 and get off Tsaotun Interchange to the downtown Tsaotun. Historical relics, Nine-nine Peak landscape, Fuguei Farm tour, Peishan Hakka settlement, Yuchih Black Tea Recreation Park, and Sun Moon Lake Scenic Area are in a row among which trails and cycling paths are connected for relaxing and leisure tours.

At the first stop, Fujungtan is modeled as the restoration of historical buildings by Council for Cultural Affairs. Since it is close to Chungtou Highway and Tsaotun Interchange of National Highway No. 3, Fujungtan is the gate of Tsaotun. When driving pass, the historical building is always catch visitors’ eyes.

Fujungtan originated from Wangyuanlo of Hung Family in Tsaotun and was built in 1928 during the Japanese colonial period. With the integration of tradition Fuchien and Japanese architecture and Baroque Style in the 17th century, the relief on the wall is classical and the garden with Renaissance layout is tremendous. A half-moon pond is in the middle in which red flowers are floating among lotus leaves. The roof is styled as the horse back while the end of the belt is decorated with Chinese dragons.

After the restoration from the 921 Earthquake, it is now open from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday-Sunday. Visitors could book for interpretations. In October 2001, it was registered as one of the elegant historical buildings in Nantou County.

Tunluntan, also located on Fentsao Road, is the family temple of Hung. Built in 1824, it presents a traditional Fuchien architecture. With few decorations, it is now the third-grade momentum. Although it is not open to the public, a lot of tourists would stop over for the classical beauty.

Following the sign to Shihkuan Road, visitors would arrive at the first academy in Tsaotun, Tengyin Academy, a third-grade momentum surrounded with green and wide paddy field. Within 62 academies in Taiwan, this building is completely reserved and the historical relics are abundant and precious.

On top of the entrance hanging the board carved Tengyin Academy, it was made in the foundation. Moreover, boards carved Wen-Yun-Chung-Hsin and Hsueh-Chiao-Tun-Lun are hung on top of the shrine. The simplicity shows the solemn style of academies. Since it is far away from the downtown and is reserved as the original appearance, it is like returning to the old age when standing on the green.

After recalling the old times, you may visit the largest God of Fortune temple, Tunhe Temple, on Tunhe Road in downtown Tsaotun Township. The 162ft copper statue of the God of Fortune stands in the temple. For making a fortune, thousands of people would come for a piece of Golden Fortune Cake on March 15th of the lunar calendar. On the way, don’t miss Wanhsou Taiwanese meatballs, glutinous rice cake stuffed with bean paste, and red wheat seeds at the corner of Chungshan Street and Chungcheng Street. The rice culture is favorable in such a rice village.

The broad, g reen lawn-surrounded National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute is the best place for parents and children experiencing straw culture and crafts. When weaving straw-shoes, visitors realize the beauty of the ancient culture that the name

of Tsaohsiehtun was handed down. Various

delicate crafts, lazurite, Koji pottery, wood crafts, and lacquer are e x h i b i t e d i n t h e Institute, attracting a lot of tourists.

Driving along Provincial Highway No. 14 toward the downtown, Ninety-nine Peak is jointed without an end, which can rival Gueilin Landscape. Chiuchiufeng Ecological Reserve, driving in from Shihcho Lane in Shuangtung, reserves abundant animal and plant ecology. If you are lucky, you may run into Formosan serow or blue pheasants.

Driving along Provincial Highway No. 21 to the scenic Yushih Village, Seshui Community in Tayen Tsun creates its unique recreational characteristics of ecology, black tea, and pottery after the 921 Earthquake. The nice weather and good soil in Seshui has

planted high-quality black tea since Japanese colonial period. It further became the special tea for the Japanese emperor and started the good name of Yuchih Black Tea (Royal Tea).

The bamboo charcoal technology in Seshui Community is famous internationally; even Japanese people visit here to learn the skills. The bamboo charcoal products, including bamboo charcoal cups which can clear water, bamboo guasha board which can stimulate circulation, and bamboo charcoal peanuts presenting unique flavor, attract a lot of domestic and international tourists.

Trains are always the memory of growth for many people. Jiji Railway, built for the construction of power station, is now the popular route for railway tour. Jiji Railway, total 29.7km, is the longest railway feeder. Within the 45 min ride, it starts from Erhshui in Changhua County, passing Mingjiang Village, Jiji Township, and Shuili Village in Nantou County. The forgotten villages are brought in another touring wave. People visit these villages to find the memory in the deep heart.

There are seven stations in Jiji Railway, including Erhshui, Yuanchuan, Choshui, Longchun, Jiji, Shuili, and Checheng. The most popular stations where most people would get off for leisure activities are Erhshui, Jiji, Shuili, and Checheng. After passing Yuanchuan Station, Choshui Station in Mingjiang Village is the first station of Jiji Railway in Nantou County. Located on the end of the trading area on Nanya Street next to Provincial Highway No. 3, it was rebuilt after the 921 Earthquake. The appear-ance is simple and the periphery transportation is convenient.

Getting off Choshui Station and walking for few hundred meters, 921 Earthquake Tilted Tower Memorial Park is next to Provincial Highway No. 3. The earthquake lifted the road in Choshui Tsun three meters higher than it used to be. In addition to the distortion of the railways, the power tower was also leaned. It displays the shock from the nature.

Going along Provincial Highway No. 3 toward Nantou City, the statues of a black pig and a white pig stand on the side of the road, showing the circle of life. Here is Pig Paradise Recreation Park, operated by Nantou County Meat Market Corporation. Getting rid of traditional way of selling pork in the market, it has transformed to distribute various meat food, dried meat, and sausages as well as developed bile shampoo and cosmetics. Behind the market, a lot of flowers are planted and several tables and chairs are provided for cups of coffee, food taste, and agricul-tural products sales. The beautiful and clean park appeals lot of tourists.

　　On the way, street vendors selling local specialties like cold spring water spinach, yams, and gingers. Particularly, there is a cold spring in Mingjiang Village so that the stems of the cultivated water spinach are large and crunchy.

　　Next to the market on Nanya Street, Suiyi Restaurant is a 60-year-old restaurant. The local dishes, such as water spinach, water bamboos, green bristlegrass chicken, and taros, are the specialties in Mingjiang Village. If you come on holidays, you might have to wait for a vacancy.

Both the ancient station and Green Tunnel are the most popular attractions in Jiji. To leisurely touring around Jiji, visitors would hire bicycles to explore the relics and the old trees. Covered by camphor trees, the 4.3km Green Tunnel is constructed several car parks and pavilion, where visitors can experience the trains passing by.

　　Tienhsin Kiln, located in the middle of Green Tunnel, has been kept for more than 60 years with the ancient snake kiln and unique wood-fired pottery. Visitors can also DIY works when recalling the old times.

A lot of local food restaurants and snacks are around the station, among which, the deep-fried dessert of local bananas covered with mayonnaise is the hot sale. It is located on the right of the station square. Visitors cannot refuse the crispy skin and the slippery content. Or, try the Blue Banana Ship, the deep-fried banana skins, if you worry about your weight.

A bakery selling Train-Ticket cakes is also near the station. The hand-made cakes with the names of stations, Jiji─Checheng, Tadu─Chengkung, Yungkang─Baoan, on the pastries are the popular handy gifts. Besides the special dishes, Station Kitchen Restaurant has developed banana enzyme, which is good for constipation, melancholy, and losing weight. Chinese people say, “Eat banana skin when you are disappointed in love.” Really? Yes. The owner will tell you, “Because it contains kalium, which can cure melancholy.” Believe it or not, come and try it. Beef noodles, hidden in the alley, with various braised food, and Taiwan-ese pickled vegetables are so popular that visitors would never want to miss it.

Shuili Village is a beautiful mountain village next to Choshui River. With Mingtan Reservoir and Mingtang Power Station, this village offers more attractions for tourists.

　　The water in Shuili Stream, crossing the downtown, is the fresh and clean water from the power station. Shuili is also the gate to Sun Moon Lake and Hsinyi Village, where you may pick up a Tourist Guide or the latest information in Yushan National Park Administration on Provincial Highway No. 16 next to Shuili Stream.

　　Shuili Snake Kiln Ceramic Park in Tingkang Tsun, built in 1927, is the oldest kiln in Taiwan. Pottery Museum, DIY classroom, Art Gallery, and Workshop are established in the park for visitors to understand the pottery history in Taiwan.

　　Shuili is also a village of plums. It is worth visiting in winter when plum blossom and in spring when plum are picking. Follow-ing Provincial Highway No. 16 toward Hsinyi Village, Shangan Tsun is next to Chenyolan Stream. Having experienced several natural disasters, the villagers still strive for living. Plum Recreation Park, combining local agriculture and accommodation, provides tourists with different enjoyment, including a 200m pie-bridge to experience the romantic story of Chinese Valentine's Day, overlooking the mountain scenery, plum blossom, plum-picking, pickled plums, mushroom-picking, and DIY agricultural products.

In downtown Shuili, a local bakery integrates plums to the cakes and jellies and develops wooden-wheel cakes to become the famous handy gifts.

The mix noodles with various ingredients and large quantity, people simply enjoy the satiety. Taiwanese Meat Balls with soft skin stuffed with bamboo and meat is extremely popular in Shuili. Mixing the sauce with the old-kettle soup, it is nothing but delicious.

After the hot meat balls, try the ice-lolly in Erhping-shan. With the fresh water from Mingtang Reservoir, the power station produces more than 20 flavors ice-lolly. Sitting on the hill with the cheap ice-lolly and overlook-ing Choshui River and Shuili Village, visitors would simply forget the heat in summer.

The final stop of Jiji Railway, Checheng, is called a Secret Garden. The entire station is made of wood, presenting the history of Checheng Tsun. Checheng is right below Mingtan Power Station. It was a busy village in 1960’s because of the wood industry. The historic streets are completed reserved. Roaming around the streets, the memory is going back to the old time.

Checheng Wood Museum, next to Checheng Station, is built with wood and steel. The relics and the historical information of early wood industry are exhibited here. An experience factory also allows visitors to DIY bookshelves, chairs, and other wooden decorations.

The pond was originally the pool to clean Chinese firs. The wooden path along the pond is covered by trees; the Japanese-style tourist center next to the pond is the best place for a break. Minghu Reservoir, Taguang Power Station, Mingtang Reservoir tunnel, and arch bridge are worth visiting.

Getting off National Highway No. 3 to Provincial Highway No. 3, you are surrounded in the scene of bamboo forest and tea farms in Chushan Township and Luku Village. The tea and bamboo culture has made it a wonderful world.

In order to promote tea, the tea contest is taken place twice a year to select the best-quality tea. Tea lovers can visit the contests and taste the best Taiwanese tea.

Fortune-making money in Tzunan Temple

　　After getting off Chushan Interchange and turning left on Provincial Highway No. 3, it takes about 5 minutes to reach Tzunan Temple, in which the Land God is enshrined. A Yungshiyitu Stone stands outside the temple, stating the history of the ancestors pioneering in Taiwan. People can ask for fortune-making money, NT$600, from the Land God for making monkey in businesses. On January 16 of lunar calendar, free chicken soup is offered to bless the visitors. The number of visitors participating in such an activity is another type of legend for temples in Taiwan.

　　If you are interested in bamboo culture, visit Bamboo Culture Park in Fucho Li, where about 80 kinds of bamboos are planted. Longanzun and Jiji Weir, built in Ching Dynasty, are worth visiting. Stay in one of the homestays within the bamboo forest, visitors can taste a different flavor of meal.

Turning right on Provincial Highway No. 3 after getting off Chushan Interchange, Shatung Temple and the 921 Earthquake Park are on the major road in Chushan, Chishan Road.

Turn right before Yenping Elementary School, Liyung Temple and the old streets on Chushan Road present the simple life of the local citizens. In Chushan Culture Park, visitors can further understand the development of bamboo in Taiwan.

Vendors for sweet potatoes stand in row on the side of the street selling fresh raw sweet potatoes, honeyed sweet potatoes, sweet potato buns, and sweet potato cookies. This is probably the best place to try sweet potatoes products. Chushan Visitor Center on Taming Road provides more information on transportation and accommodation.

The Experimental Forest, National Taiwan University, contains diverse ecologic resources. Walking under the pine trees, visitors are simply cooled down in the summer. Following Provincial Highway No. 3 toward Yunlin County, Linnei Village is an important habitat of Taiwanese pitta. During April and May, visitors would not miss the wonderful scenery when Euploea eunice hobsoni migrates across the area.

Following Nantou County Way No. 49 & 49-1, Sky Ladder and Taan Bamboo Sea have an extraordinary view of bamboo forest and tea farms. It is worth roaming around the bamboo trials for Tianchieng Waterfall, Taichi Valley, and Bagua Tea Farms in Taan Bamboo Sea.

　　Entering the famous Sky Laddar, the natural scenery of Taichi Valley, Chinglong Waterfall, Yufu Drawbridge, One-Line Sky, and Flying-over Stone, are in the 3-hour walk. If you are still energetic, going on Nantou County Road No. 149 to Nantou County Road No. 54 for Tsaolin Way in Gukeng Village, Yunlin County.

Luku Village, connected with Patunghuan Trail, is the home of tea and bamboo. Chilin Lake on the east of Tongtingshan is surrounded by tea and betel nut trees to make the scenery be change-able.

　　Further passing Kaishan Temple next to Chilin Lake, Fonghuangshan Temple, built in Ching Dynasty, is packed of visitors on March 16, when it was the birthday of Zushih God.

The 30 hectare National Fonghuanggu Bird Park breeds more than 300 birds. A giant relic carved the word of “Forever junct ion”, which was named by the general Wu in Ching Dynasty, is standing on a corner of the park. Fonghuanggu Natural Education Park of the Experiment Forest on Fonghuanggu tableland is the best place to view downtown Luku and Chilin Lake. When cherry blooming, it is joyful to taste tea under the cherry trees.

　　Luku Visitor Center provides relative agricultural and recreational touring information. Visitors could further visit some special handicrafts or understand tea culture in Tea Culture House. Tea shops are everywhere in the village. This is one of the tea production places for tea lovers.

　　Passing Guanhsin Community, you can turn right on Nantou County Road No. 55-1 to Hsiaobantien Area. The visitor center is also a transaction center of bamboo products; besides, a bamboo culture house is established on the third floor in which local bamboo products are exhibited. In addition to bamboo trails, the natural scenery, like Hsiaobantien Waterfall, Tehsin Waterfall, and Shuihsiao Waterfall present different charms.

　　Firefly-watching is taken place in April and May in Luku Village. With the restoration of Tsaitzu Stream after the 921 Earthquake, plenty of fireflies are flying in Guanhsin Community, where visitors can leisurely walking along the trails and appreciate the twinkling stars.

　　On the way up to Xitou, Neihu Elementary school was rebuilt with wood after the 921 Earthquake. The forest school has become a popular touring spot on holidays.

　　Xitou Nature Education Area, located above sea-level 800~2,000 meters, is filled with Chinese fir, cypress, Chinese cypress, bamboo, and ginkgo trees. Going along County Road No. 151, the signs of 12 Chinese zodiac animals are used for the name of the 17km winding road. The summer resort, SunLinkSea, is located above sea-level 1,600 meters. Different kinds of flowers are planted here around the year. Besides, the natural scenery, including cloud sea, Shihchingchi, Chinglong Waterfall, flower center, Songlong Rock, and Tienti Eye, is worth visiting.
