Introduction

Why has NSERC adopted the Common CV?

Common CV:Intended to streamline procedures as the CV data entered once by the researcher can be used to apply for a variety of funding opportunities (Tri‐Council, CFI, & ~20 others)

Facilitate the collection of a common data set required by agencies

Create a public repository, which will showcase Canadian researcher expertiseexpertise

Research Portal:The Research Portal provides a single point of entry for applicants,The Research Portal provides a single point of entry for applicants, reviewers, committee members, institutions and partners

It is compliant with the Government of Canada’s standards for accessibility usability and interoperabilityaccessibility, usability, and interoperability

Creating a CCV

1. Register and log in to the CCV system (https://ccv‐cvc.ca/):

Creating a SSHRC CCV

Note: your data will not be transferred from the previous NSERC Form 100, BUT if you already have a CCV, common information will be transferred to the NSERC CCV templatetransferred to the NSERC CCV template.

2. Select the CCV template:

Creating a SSHRC CCV

CHOICE: Funding‐specific CV versus Generic CV?  If you know you are applying for NSERC only, you may wish to use funding template from the outset. The CCV attached to your NOI/application must be in the NSERC format.

l3. Section sorting rules

Shows how the records within a section are sorted.
