DISADVANTAGEIncreased costs compared to 4mm coroplast, corrugation is visible, just-in-time shipping, some noticeable swelling in south facing direct sun.

ALUMINIUM COMPOSITE

PLEXI & ACRYLIC

DESCRIPTIONA premium quality composite panel two aluminium sheets, sandwiching a polyethylene core. This material is double sided, rigid, smooth surfaced sheet with excellent durability.

TYPICAL SHEET SIZE4’x8’, 5’x10’ (Available in White, brushed aluminium, various colours, matte or gloss.

COMMON PRODUCTSDevelopment signage, building signage, site signage.

DESCRIPTIONThey are both very similar, the only difference is in the way in which the two products are manufactured. Other common plastic are PVC, PetG, Abs.

COMMON PRODUCTSHigh end office signs, showhome floor plans, custom displays.

ADVANTAGEStrong aluminum surface, smooth surface, long-term outdoor durability, very strong.

DISADVANTAGEIncreased cost versus temporary signage, cutting and finishing more labour intensive, shipping costly.

ADVANTAGELooks sophisticated, clean and crisp. It is easily changed out.

DISADVANTAGEThey are both not scratch resistant, more susceptible to damage in transport.

FOAMCORE

DESCRIPTIONThis material is super light weight with a paper finish to rigid foam. Foamcore is ideal for indoor short-term signage where you are looking for a high quality finish at a lower price point.

TYPICAL SHEET SIZEAvailable in 3/16” and 1/2” thickness and in 4’x8’.

COMMON PRODUCTSEasel board, development renderings, frame inserts.

POLYSTYRENE

DESCRIPTIONHigh impact polystyrene (HIPS) is a durable weather safe semi-rigid material. This material can be direct printed or have vinyl monnted to it depending on the application.

TYPICAL SHEET SIZEThis material typically comes in 4’x8’ sheets but is also stocked in specially sheeted sized for use as bus boards. Comes in .0175pt up to .060pt.

ADVANTAGECost effective, super lightweight, clear crisp prints on a matte finish paper.

DISADVANTAGEVery easily damaged by drops or pressure, not weather proof, easily damaged in shipping.

ADVANTAGERigid but flexible allowing for rolling and easy shipping, cost effective, smooth surfaced, all weather.

DISADVANTAGEMaterial may “wave” if not installed with sufficient mounts or in direct sunlight. Not strong enough to be installed without a backer or frame.

SINTRA

GATORBOARD

DESCRIPTIONSintra is a lightweight yet rigid board of PVC with a low gloss matte finish. This material is strong and smooth surfaced making it ideal for trade shows and special events.

TYPICAL SHEET SIZEThe typical sheet size is 4’x8’ with wide range of thickness, 3mm being most common

COMMON PRODUCTSMuseum displays, wayfinding, place cards.

DESCRIPTIONGatorboard is lightweight yet rigid polystyrene foam core laminated between two veneers of resin-impregnated wood fiber. This surface is very tough and puncture resistant.

TYPICAL SHEET SIZEAvailable in 3/16” and 1/2” thickness and in 4’x8’.

COMMON PRODUCTSDurable displays, signage, wayfinding.

ADVANTAGEMatte finish reduces glare, strength allows for carefree handling, smooth surface allows for vibrant prints, suggested to be used indoors.

DISADVANTAGERigid material can cause some difficulty for transportation, can become brittle in extreme cold, cannot be rolled to ship.

ADVANTAGEIs more durable then foamcore, lightweight, clear crisp prints.

DISADVANTAGEVery easily damaged by drops or pressure, easily damaged in shipping. More expensive compared to foamboard.

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD

SUPER SMOOTH BANNER

DESCRIPTIONE-flute: Thin, 1/16” thick (standardbrown)

B-flute: 1/8” thick (White or standardbrown)

COMMON PRODUCTSE-flute: Used for display boxes,shipper boxes, header cards, ballotboxes.

B-flute: Strong shipper boxes, standupdisplays.

DESCRIPTIONSmooth banner material has the option of double-sided printing and has a block-out membrane to prevent light penetration.

TYPICAL ROLL SIZEThis banner comes in various sized rolls 63” to 120”.

COMMON PRODUCTSBanner stands, photobackdrops, showroom signage, inner mall banners.

ADVANTAGELightweight, cost effective, decal or laminate can be mounted for more durability. Prints similar to coroplast.

DISADVANTAGENot weather proof, easily damaged in transport. Corrugated line show through finished product.

ADVANTAGESmooth surface allows for flawless prints, block-out material options allow for opaque prints when back lighting is a issue, custom sizing and finishing available, flexible media allows for easy shipping.

DISADVANTAGEIndoor suggested use although it is weather resistant, less tensile strength can cause tearing in high wind conditions, premium priced compared to other banner options.

SCRIM BANNER

MESH BANNER

DESCRIPTIONThis type of banner is thread reinforced with outstanding strength. Single sided printability with a gloss or matte finish.

TYPICAL ROLL SIZEThis banner comes in various sized rolls 63” to 16’.

COMMON PRODUCTSFence banner, highway billboards, superboards, table banners.

DESCRIPTIONPerforated banner which to reduces the wind load while maintaining strength and graphic vibrancy. This perforation allows for larger outdoor banner applications as well as allowing sounds and light to permeate.

TYPICAL ROLL SIZEThis banner is typically stocked in various sized rolls 63” to 16’.

COMMON PRODUCTSFence graphics, oversized banners, speaker/concert graphics, construction hoarding, scaffold wraps.

ADVANTAGECost effective, strength (resists tearing and handles high wind loads, flexible allows for rolled shipping, custom sizing and finishing available.

DISADVANTAGEScrim threads are visible, not block-out material.

ADVANTAGEPerforation allows for less wind load, sound is not blocked to the same extent as with traditional banner, speaker mesh available.

DISADVANTAGEHoles can make graphics less visible, less printed surface are means reduced vibrancy, slightly more cost than solid banner.

ADVANTAGEVersatility allows for branding of rough surfaces, shape cutting options available, various levels of textured laminate allows for versatility in all conditions.

DISADVANTAGERequires clean, dry, dust free surface, limited cold weather application. More difficult to remove than regular vinyl.

DISADVANTAGEDurability is very dependent on level of traffic on the material. High traffic areas may not last long. Requires clean, dry, dust free surface to apply.

CONCRETE DECAL

DESCRIPTIONThis material is ideal for mounting on rough surfaces. The thin material allows for conforming into the holes and dips in concrete, brick and asphalt as long as they aren't to deep. Get the look of paint without the work.

TYPICAL ROLL SIZEThis comes in 54” widths. l .

FLOOR DECALS

DESCRIPTIONThis material is ideal for mounting on walking surfaces. The aggressive adhesive grabs the floor well and the textured over laminate provides extra traction to avoid people slipping.

TYPICAL ROLL SIZE

These rolls typically come in 48” to 60” widths.

CALENDARED SELF-ADHESIVE VINYL

CAST SELF-ADHESIVE VINYL

DESCRIPTIONIs an adhesive backed vinyl that allows for application on various surfaces. This material is ideal for mounting on walls, rigid surfaces (coroplast, dibond, crezon, etc.) This material typically comes in rolls 36” to 56” and can be laminated for additional durability

TYPICAL ROLL SIZEThis material typically comes in 36” to 62” rolls.

COMMON PRODUCTSApplication to rigid boards like dibond or sign-ply, cut lettering or stickers on flat surfaces, wall wraps.

DESCRIPTIONThis is a premium material both in cost and performance. This material is meant to flex and conform to most surfaces without retracting. Normally these films have pressure sensitive adhesives and air release technology allowing for easy installation.

TYPICAL ROLL SIZEThis material typically comes in 54” and 60” rolls.

COMMON PRODUCTSVehicle wraps, trailer wraps with rivets, large difficult to handles single decals, longterm wall wraps where shrinkage can't be tolerated.

ADVANTAGECost effective, flexible media allows for easy shipping, lamination allows for additional durability. Indoor or outdoor use, adhesive backing makes mounting simple, always in stock.

DISADVANTAGECalendared vinyl will shrink over time. Depending on the application surface and elements, this could lead to cracking or peeling. Calendared vinyl is not recommended for complex curves, or around rivets as it will pull back up or "tent".

ADVANTAGEEasy to install due to air release and slide-able adhesives, conformable to many different surfaces. Limited “memory” in the decal mean that it will stay where you put it without shrinking.

DISADVANTAGECostly compared to calendared vinyl, the thinner material can present a challenge for inexperienced installers if it is not laminated.

REFLECTIVE VINYL

PERFORATED WINDOW FILM

DESCRIPTIONA highly flexible durable adhesive coated sheeting.

COMMON PRODUCTSCut and applied to flex banners, coroplast or aluminum sheets.

DESCRIPTIONWindow perf allows for single sided visibility and vibrant graphics on glass surfaces. This vinyl is great for increasing you visual presence when signage is limited.

TYPICAL ROLL SIZEThese rolls typically come in 36” to 54” widths.

COMMON PRODUCTSStore front windows, office windows, bus and car windows.

ADVANTAGEGood for providing visibility on unlit highway signs. Available in white or colours. Can be printed in custom colours.

DISADVANTAGESlightly more difficult to apply, it does not stretch as easily and as much as regular vinyl does (tearing might occur). Costs more then regular vinyl.

ADVANTAGEOptically clear laminate allows for protection and clear visibility, flexible substrate easy to ship, single sided visibility gives privacy without blicking your view.

DISADVANTAGELimited visibility and privacy when back-lit, material is costly limited cold weather application, prone to peeling if not edge sealed.

ENVIROMENTAL GRAPHICS

PAPER & CARD

DESCRIPTIONGlass has become a very economical and popular building material. With this popularity comes th popularity of etch for privacy and decor. Custom cut, custom colors and printability make this one of the most interesting materials for architectural accents.

DESCRIPTIONWe print primarily on blue back paper, also known as billboard paper. This paper is very cost effective and is typically printed in the fastest speeds, accounting for the viewing distances when considering resolution. Other types of paper include poly-blended paper, cardboard and cardstock.

ADVANTAGELess expensive than factory sand blasting or custom fabrication, endless patterns and customizations allow for branding or aesthetic choices.

DISADVANTAGECan be damaged due to impact or “traffic scuffing” wide variance on pricing based on coverage and material selected.

ADVANTAGEPaper is one of the most cost effective mediums available. this relative light weight for size allows for cost effective shipping. Custom paper blends have a wide variety of qualities and characteristics to match your needs.

DISADVANTAGETypically shorter term lower durability and not weather resistant.
