22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus, the fulfillment
of God’s laws and
prophets, tells us
how to live out God’s
Commandments.
Today, we think about the best way to follow God’s Commandments, passed on to us through Moses, by witnessing God’s blessings and pres-ence in our midst. We can go beyond our human traditions and rituals by washing our hearts and getting rid of evil thoughts and desires. We practice it by caring for all who are vulnerable and in need.

OUR PARISH VISITATION RESUMES
In conjunction with September as Stewardship Month and as a means of spreading
the Good News of the Catholic Faith and Maternity B.V.M. Parish, the Parish Visitation
will resume. Visits will be made Mondays through Thursdays, 6 to 8 PM,
from September 10 through 27.
Our goals: meet you, hear your observations, bless your homes and encourage your full
participation in our Parish’s faith life.
The homes to be visited are located on the east side of Bustleton Avenue at Welsh Road,
extending to all streets off of Welsh Road to Roosevelt Boulevard; the area on the east side
of the Boulevard to Dewees Street; and the area south/southwest of the Church.
Previous visits to those living in apartment com-plexes or condominiums were unsuccessful; there-fore, these visits will be not be attempted. Parish-ioners living in these complexes and who would like a visit are asked to call the Rectory and make an appointment for a visit. A list of all homes to be visited is being mailed to every household and will appear each week in our Parish Bulletin.

This catechetical program is held in the Pre-K classrooms in the Convent and includes reli-gious story time, songs and activities based on the Sunday Gospels. After the 9:30 AM Mass, parents promptly pick up their children.
SHARE YOUR FAITH WITH OTHERS! Adults and high school and college students are needed as teachers & aides for these programs. This is not a weekly commitment. Volunteers will
