Passing grade in Calculus I or the equivalent.

A 100 % - 90% Homework 30%

B 89.9% - 80% Tests 40%

C 79.9% - 70% Final 30%

D 69.9% - 55%

Homework

I Homework will be assigned and discussed in class. It shouldbe turned in as assigned. If the homework is one day late,there is a 40% penalty. Homework will not be accepted morethan one day late.

I You will need to use Matlab for the homework. The solutionto these problems should be submitted by e-mailing me theMatlab files. You can purchase Matlab online. You canalso use the software in the Math Learning Center.

There will be several short quizzes during the semester. Thesequizzes may be announced or they may be surprise quizzes. Therewill be no makeup quizzes. Missing a quiz will result in a score ofzero. On the take-home quizzes, you may work with other people.The lowest 20% of your quiz scores will not be counted towardyour grade.

Tests

I There will be two or three tests during the semester. Missing atest will result in a score of zero. There are no dropped tests.

I The final is scheduled for Thursday August 4, 2:30 - 4:30 pm.The final will cover all the material discussed during thesemester. Missing the final will result in a grade of F for thecourse.

Cheating

If you are caught cheating, I will follow the school policies. At theminimum, you will receive a grade of F for that assignment. Youare expected to be aware of Ohlone Board policy on this matter.

Dropping

If you want to drop the class, do so according to the procedurelisted in the schedule of classes. Failure to do so may result in agrade of F for the course.
