Take the easy or hard quiz as one of the activities but does not need to be emailed back to the teacher. Review math vocabulary on the Parent/Student page.     • Click on “Classes” or Assignments

    • Under Assignments, click on Lesson 3: “New Ways to Communicate” and complete the reading and activity.

    • If your child would prefer the text read out loud, click on the right side of Lesson 3 where it says, “Student eText with Audio”, then click at the top Chapter 6 icon, then Lesson 3 icon. Your child can then hit the

    speaker and it will read each page aloud.

    • Read article: “Success in Science and Technology” and answer the question. *see attached activity

    • A QR code is available to read the article out loud for your child. This can be done using i-nigma app or by

    placing your camera to take a picture.

    Thursday:

    • Discuss how the telephone has changed over time. Optional: Try creating a “string phone” using two disposable cups, paperclips, and a string/yarn.

    Here’s what to do:

    1. Make a small hole in the center of the base of both cups. 2. Gently push the string/yarn through each of the holes. 3. Tie off the string/yarn with a paperclip. The paperclip should be on the inside of the cups. 4. Pull the cups apart so that in each cup the paperclip rests flat on the base of the cup. 5. Take one cup, give the other to a friend, and walk away from each other (remember the string must be

    tight).

    6. Talk into the cup as the other person listens.
