A whole can be divided into equal parts, for example, into 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or more equal parts. Equal parts of a whole have the same size and shape. When put together, they are equal to 1.

In the problem above, there are 8equal parts. These 8 equal parts make up 1 whole.

So, 8 - eighths or 8/8 = 1

The fraction for the whole pizza is 8/8.
