“It is great to be… HUSD is Number 1 Large, public school district in AZ. All Higley schools earned “A's” HUSD is the ONLY K-12 public school district in the
AZ to have ALL schools receive an “A” ratings. Cooley and Sossaman Middle schools tied as the No. 2 ranked district middle schools in Arizona. HUSD is one of only 9 districts to earn an “A” rating
each of the 4 years of the state’s letter grade system. HUSD has been in the Top 10 of all public school districts
in Arizona for the last four years.

Grades are based on: 80/20 80% Assessment 20% CW/HW
Semester Final Exam (20%) Assessments (60%) Chapter Tests, Benchmarks, Quizzes, Checkpoints Classwork (10%): bell work, interactive
notebook, participation and any other work assigned
Homework (10%): based on effort, work shown, neatness and completeness.
Retakes and Resubmits are available
