The Well of Life’s Source, Jesus our Saviour, went to the Well

of Jacob the Patriarch, and He

asked a Samaritan Woman for

a drink of water. When she

objected that a Jew would have

no dealings with her, the Wise

Creator diverted her with

sweet words to ask instead for

the Eternal Water. When she

had received it, she proclaimed

It to all, saying: Come and see

the Knower of things hidden;

He is God and He has come in

the Flesh to Save humanity!

Let God Arise, and let His enemies be scattered: let also those who hate Him flee

A Sacred Pascha has been today shown forth to us. A New and

Holy Pascha: a Mystic Pascha;

an All Venerable Pascha. A

Pascha, which is Christ the

Redeemer. A spotless Pascha,

a great Pascha, a Pascha of the

Faithful. A Pascha that has

opened to us the Gates of

Paradise. A Pascha that

Sanctifies all the Faithful.

As the smoke vanishes let them vanish, and as wax melts before fire.

Come from that Scene, O Women, Bearers of Good Tidings, and

say to Zion: Receive from us

the Tiding of Joy, of the

Resurrection of Christ! Exalt,

rejoice and be glad, O

Jerusalem! For thou saw

Christ the King as a

Bridegroom come forth from

the Tomb.

So shall the wicked perish at the Presence of God; and let the Righteous rejoice.

The Myrrh7bearing Women, at

deep dawn, drew near to the

Tomb of the Giver of Life, and

they found an Angel sitting

upon the stone, and he cried

to them and said: “Why do

you seek the Living among the

dead? Why do you mourn the

Incorruptible amid

corruption? Go, proclaim to

His Disciples.

This is Day that the Lord has made: we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Praise Him with timbrel and dance; praise Him with strings and pipe

With Thy Cross, Christ Saviour,

guide us to Thy Truth, and

deliver us from the snares of

the foe; Risen from the dead,

raise us who have fallen

through sin by stretching our

Thy Hand, O Lord, at the

Prayers of Thy Saints.

Praise Him with tuneful cymbals; praise Him with loud cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Only Begotten Word of God:

without being parted from the

Father’s Bosom, Thou came on

earth through Love for mankind,

becoming Man without change,

and althou impassible in Thy

Godhead, Thou endured Cross

and Death in the Flesh; but

Risen from the dead, Thou

granted the human race

Immortality, as Thou alone art

All Powerful!

“They have taken away the Lord out of the Tomb, and we do not know where they have

laid Him.”

Peter therefore went out, and the other Disciple, and they went

to the Tomb.

So they both ran together, and the other Disciple outran Peter and

came to the Tomb first. And

he, stooping down and looking

in, saw the linen cloths lying

there, yet he did not go in.

Then Simon Peter came, following

him, and went into the Tomb;

and he saw the linen cloths

lying there, and the Handkerchief that had been around His Head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself.

Then the other Disciple, who came to the Tomb first, went in

also; and he saw and believed.

For as yet they did not know

the Scripture, that He must

Rise again from the dead.

Then the Disciples went away again to their own homes.
