-Working with over 50 Maine farmers and food producers. Product includes produce, meat, cheese and value added.

-The Hub will serve as both a community gathering site in Unity, as well as a point of aggregation of farm products for distribution.

-This summer, UFH will be distributing weekly from Bangor to Biddeford, with focus on Rt. 2/95 corridor. Expansion into Boston marketplace fall 2015.

-UFH is focused on creating new markets for local food, through increasing access and diversifying product in the marketplace.

Next Steps for the Unity Food Hub

Increasing distribution chain efficiencies: -actively fundraising to purchase a mid-sized vehicle-long term planning to create “aggregation pods”

throughout the State

Expanding sales to Northern New England-identify Portsmouth and Boston based workplaces that would like to participate in UFH Workplace

Share program-expand sites for seasonal share sampler box drops
