MANUU organizes ‘Azad Walk’ Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, has organized ‘Azad Walk’ at the campus today as part of the ongoing Azad Day Celebrations in run up to National Education Day on 11th November. MANUU is celebrating the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad , from November 4.

The Walk started from the HK Sherwani Centre for Deccan Studies at 4.30 pm. Hundreds of Students, teachers and employees of the University participated in the Walk which ended at Instructional Media Centre.

Addressing the participants, Prof. Ayub Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor advised the students to emulate the ideas of Maulana Azad and work with honesty, dedication & hard work. Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Convenor, Azad Walk also spoke on the occasion. Prof. Naushad Hussain, Registrar I/c was also present.

NSS Volunteers were seen holding the posters and paintings on Maulana Azad highlighting the importance and awareness about Maulana Azad and his works.

Meanwhile, a film on Maulana Azad was also screened in IMC Preview Theatre at 3.00 pm. Mr. Aamir Badr was the convenor of the programme.

Quiz competition held at MANUU Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, has organized quiz competition as part of the ongoing Azad Day Celebrations on November 7.

According to Dr. Mohd. Afroz Alam, convenor, quiz competition, series of quiz contests were held on the personality and achievements of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. 52 teams of 3 members each participated in the competition held at DDE Auditorium.

Earlier, Dr. Afroz Alam welcomed the participants and members of the committee and highlighted the importance of the competition.

Students of D.El.Ed third semester - Mohd Ehsan, Mohd Qasim and Mohammad Anwarul Huda got first prize whereas M.Ed. First semester students - Riasat Hussain, Rizwan-ul-Haq and Mohd Ahmed Raza received second prize. Third semester students of D.Ed.Ed. Mohd Zeeshan, Mohd Sanaullah and Mohd Asif Iqbal secured third prize.

Dr. Arif Ahmad, Dr. Ahmed Raza, Ms. Ismat Fathima, Dr. Irfan Ahmed, Atif Imran, Jaraar Ahmed, Dr. Abdul Jabbar and Dr. Rafi Mohmad took part in arrangements. Mr. Anis Azmi distributed prizes among the winners.
