! This firepit must be installed in accordance with all local codes, if any.
! This firepit must only be used outdoors in a well-ventilated area. It may not be used in a building, garage, or other enclosed space.
Installation
Do not install in or on cars, trucks, recreational vehicles or boats.
Install this firepit only on a hard, level, non-combustible surface such as concrete, rock or stone. Note that an asphalt or blacktop surface may not be acceptable. Do not use on wooden decks.
Do not force parts together as this can cause personal injury or damage the product.
Do not use this firepit until it is completely assembled and all parts are securely fastened and tightened.
If required in your area, do not use this firepit unless spark guards are securely in place.
Condo/townhome dwellers: Check with your management for requirements and fire codes for using an outdoor firepit in your complex. If allowed, use outside on the ground floor.
Do not use on or under balconies. Contact your local building officials to obtain a
permit and information on any installation restrictions or inspection requirements in your area.
Fuel
Use this outdoor firepit with dry, seasoned cordwood, which will create less smoke and burn hotter and more completely.
Do not use this firepit with solid fuel, such as charcoal briquettes, lump charcoal, manufactured logs, driftwood, trash, leaves, paper, cardboard, plywood, or painted, stained or treated wood. When using softwoods such as pine or cedar, be aware of sparks.
Do not use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, lighter fluid, or alcohol to light or relight fires.
Do not overload the firepit. Do not add additional wood until the fire burns down. NOTE: If any portion of the bowl, lid, or spark guards of the firepit are glowing red this indicates it is overloaded.
General Usage
Keep the firepit clean and free of leaves and debris to ensure safe operation. Do not operate the firepit without first ensuring it is clean.
Keep a portable fire extinguisher or other approved extinguishing equipment, such as a garden hose, readily available when operating this firepit.
Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable liquids or vapors within the vicinity (25 ft., or 7.6 m) of this firepit.
The surfaces of this outdoor firepit are hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not touch the firepit until it has cooled completely (about 45 minutes), unless wearing protective gear such as potholders, gloves, and hot pads. Never touch ashes or coals to test if they are hot.
Avoid breathing smoke from the fire and getting it into your eyes.
Do not lean over the firepit when lighting or while it is in use.
Do not place a hot spark guard or hot firepit tools onto combustible surfaces such as grass, wooden deck, or furniture.
Do not use this outdoor firepit for indoor heating. Toxic carbon monoxide fumes can accumulate and cause asphyxiation.
Keep all electrical cords away from a hot firepit. Using alcohol, prescription or non-prescription drugs
may impair ability to properly assemble or safely operate the firepit.
Do not operate the firepit if: There is a lightning storm or a possible lightning
storm. High wind conditions are present. Do not place clothing or other flammable items on or
near the firepit. If the firepit is not operating properly in any fashion
or if you are uncertain, call your dealer for a full explanation of your firepit and what to expect.
Maintenance
Do not remove, replace, modify or substitute any part of the firepit unless instructions are given in this manual for routine maintenance and cleaning. A trained technician must do all other work.
Allow the firepit, ashes, and coals to extinguish and cool completely before moving, maintaining, or cleaning.
Replace any screen or guard removed for servicing before operating the firepit.
Do not use oven cleaner or abrasive cleaners as they will damage the finish.
Check for signs of damage and creosote build-up after storage or period of non-use. Do not operate until necessary repairs or cleaning have been made.
Manual and Warranty
Operate the firepit according to the instructions included in this manual. The instructions in this manual must be strictly adhered to. Do not use makeshift methods or compromise in the installation. Improper installation will void the warranty and safety listing.

Installation Warnings
! Failure to follow all the requirements may result in property damage, bodily injury, or death.
! This firepit must be installed by a qualified installer.
! The requirements listed below are divided into sections. All requirements must be met simultaneously. The order of installation is not rigid – the qualified installer should follow the procedure best suited for the installation.
Consult Local Regulations
Consult your local city or county regulations for firepits before proceeding with installation. Local regulations govern building and using firepits on private and public property. Some cities and regions require a burning permit before starting an outdoor fire, and seasonal or time of day restrictions. Some firepit regulations dictate the type of materials out of which it should be constructed. Laws may also govern what can be burned in a firepit or how ashes are disposed.
Placement Requirements
! For Outdoor Use Only. Install only in well-ventilated areas.
Do not locate the firepit:
In high traffic areas
Under or near trees, plants and buildings where debris may constantly fall into the firepit. Excessive debris will require high maintenance and/or cause malfunctioning of the firepit.
In places where people, children, and pets may contact the firepit. Guards or fences around the firepit in these locations are recommended.
Clearances:
NOTE: All clearances are measured from the outside edge of the firepit.
The distance from any structure or combustible material to the firepit perimeter shall be a minimum of 25 ft. (7.62 M). Lesser clearances shall be used only where acceptable to the local authority having jurisdiction.
The distance from any overhanging foliage (trees, shrubs, and so on) to the firepit shall be a minimum of 15 feet (4.572 M).

Before You Begin
! Read this entire manual before you use your new firepit, especially the section "Safety Precautions" on page 13. Failure to follow the instructions may result in property damage, bodily injury, or death.
NOTE: The sections of the firepit are heavy, and may require two people to lift them into place.
Tools Needed
Two ¾” wrenches
Installation Instructions
NOTE: The nuts, bolts, and washers attaching the firepit to the pallet are used for installation. Do not throw these away after detaching the firepit from the pallet. NOTE: The 3‐foot model is shipped in 2 halves, 2 sections per half. You may want to loosen the bolts before assembling, to ensure correct alignment. 1. Determine the location of the firepit. Make sure all clearances are met (see page 6). 2. Prepare the firepit location. We recommend 3” (77mm) of compacted sand or gravel under the firepit,
extending 12” (305mm) beyond the outside edge. 3. Place section 1 as shown in Figure 5; place section 2 as shown in Figure 6. The pipe at the right of each
section fits into the hole at the left of the next section, so that the holes in the brackets align. NOTE: Each section of the firepit is numbered and must be assembled sequentially to ensure proper alignment. You can identify each section by the number of tack welds inside the corner box (see Figure 4). Section 1 has 1 tack weld; section 2 has 2 tack welds, and so on. NOTE: Do not bolt the sections together yet.
