MAXsys 2510 Value Added SolutionsInstrument Transformer Correction (IT; CTs and VTs)Phase and Ratio error must be known at the burden levels that the transformers in the meter system actually see. Wiring losses must be included as well. The PT ratio and phase corrections are fixed and do not change with levels. The CT ratio and phase corrections are DYNAMIC and change with current levels as needed. The corrections are done at the beginning of the signal processing and they benefit all readings, as well as watt and VAR pulses.Landis+Gyr, Inc
18
MAXsys 2510 Value Added SolutionsInstrument Transformer Correction (IT; CTs and VTs)Many existing installations have instrument transformer which may not meet metering accuracy class 0.3%. The dynamic CT correction allows for system accuracy improvements without changing the existing CTs. Increased accuracy can yield increased revenue. Increased accuracy without buying new transformers. Increased accuracy without the labor of changing out CTs. Improves the overall accuracy of all CT installations including metering system which have metering accuracy CTs.
Landis+Gyr, Inc

MAXsys 2510 Value Added SolutionsInstrument Transformer Correction (IT; CTs and VTs)A switch in Maxcom allows the user to turn the correction ON and OFF without losing CT correction data in the meter useful for testing of the meter. Operation of the correction can be verified by running watt-hour wattregistration at 5A PF=1.0 and 0.5 Lag, and at 0.5A PF=1.0 and 0.5 Lag. Expected readings can then be verified.
