WASC site visit
WASC Visiting team at SCU Oct. 20 - 22, 2009
Visiting Team will– Interview key individuals– Hold meetings with key groups
Team is seeking to– Verify information in report and exhibits– Clarify areas that are confusing– Explore matters of institutional focus– Probe about areas of concern– Learn about climate and culture
Visiting Team and FSC
Visiting Team will meet with FSC representatives– Separate meetings with other faculty leaders, administrators, staff,
students, etc.
When?– Wednesday October 21, 2009– Probable time: 3:30– Locations TBD
Meetings with Visiting Team
Meetings may take several forms– Straight Q & A– Mini questionnaires– Fishbowls– Observation of regular meeting process
Typical format– two members of visiting team meet with groups of 8 - 12 faculty
Meetings last about 45 minutes
Visiting Team will also hold open meetings for all faculty – no administrators invited
WASC will establish confidential email account for comments
