Pick-up Service: Student Affairs Office offers free pick up service from different gateways to the University of Macau on 2 Aug and 3 Aug. The shuttle buses (45 seats) go every 15 to 30 minutes, from 09:00 to 18:00. Important Notes: Arrangement of “The Way To UM” New Student Orientation Programme during Typhoons and Rainstorms 1. Typhoon signal No. 1 or 3
When Typhoon signal No. 1 or 3 is hoisted, all activities will be held as scheduled.
2. Typhoon signal No. 8 (or above) or Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the following arrangement will apply:
Hoisted during the activity Orientation activities will be cancelled. Participants should refer to the website announcement from related departments for the latest arrangement.
Hoisted or still in force during the following times: At or after 7:00 a.m. / At or after 12:30 p.m.
Orientation activities in the morning / in the afternoon will be cancelled. Participants should refer to the website announcement from related departments for the latest arrangement.
3. Typhoon signal No. 8 (or above) or a Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered, or all of the Typhoon or Rainstorm Warning Signals are cancelled, the following
arrangement will apply: Before 7:00 a.m. Orientation activities in the morning will be held as scheduled. Between 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Orientation activities in the afternnoon will be held as scheduled.
After 12:30 p.m. Orientation activities in the afternoon will be cancelled. Participants should refer to the website announcement from related departments for the latest arrangement.
Remark: Photographs and videos taken during the programme will be used for promotion and record purposes.
