SCHOOL CLOSURE DAYS : Thursday & Friday 26 th & 27 th May. Students do not come to school on these days. Staff will use these days to work on the school’s vision and mission statements. These documents form the heart of our school and define who we are and what we believe in and stand for. St Theresa’s Year of Mercy SPECIAL PRESENTATION Last Tuesday St Theresa’s was fortunate enough to be presented with a Defibrillator donated by Wood Group PSN, a global company who together with Melbourne Water, make sure our waterways are maintained to the highest standards. One of the Wood Group PSN core values is to support the local community. We owe Tim (Bud) Flanagan a vote of thanks for organizing this donation. Tim continually supports our hard working fundraising group in working to provide the school with important resources and approached Wood Group PSN about assisting financially to help the school acquire the $2500 defibrillator, which they happily agreed to do. Darren and Tina from Wood Group PSN presented the defibrillator to Rob, Fr Barry and our SRC in front of the whole school. Wood Group PSN ensured that with the defibrillator comes a free training session for the teachers, making St Theresa’s an even safer place to be for your children. THERESA’S PRIMARY SCHOOL Sincerely thanks WOOD GROUP PSN Caring for the Health and Safety of the Local Community by generously dona9ng a Defibrillator to the school. Robert Macklin 17th May 2106 Principal We pray…. Lord Jesus Christ you have taught us to be merciful like the Heavenly Father and have told us that whoever sees You sees Him. Show us your face and we will be saved. Send your Spirit to help us bring good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to the oppressed and restore sight to the blind. We ask this through Jesus and Mary. Amen Some families in our community are experiencing great sadness in their lives at the moment and we ask that you keep the D’Emanuele, Montalto, Nguyen, O’Neill, Kung, Arnold and Patel families in your prayers. We also pray for those among us who are suffering with an illness. May you all find support, love and comfort in our prayers.

Gift cards for all occasions!

In 2002, Michelle Newland suffered a near fatal asthma attack that left her with a

severe acquired brain injury. Michelle spent several years being unable to express her

feelings. She lost the ability to walk, talk, eat, communicate and she even lost her

memory. With the amazing support of her loving family, friends and carers plus her

sheer determination, tremendous courage and painstaking therapy, Michelle has

overcome insurmountable odds. She is now a public speaker and inspiration to many.

Michelle has always believed in the beauty and importance of telling those around her

how much they mean to her. As Michelle progressed with her recovery, she decided

she wanted to help others express their feelings to one another. With the help of an

amazing support team, Michelle designs and handcrafts a beautiful and unique range

of gift cards for all occasions. Her inspirational story of recovery features on the

back of each card. Along with these, you can also purchase her Journey of Recovery

book and Psalm book.
