Cell Phone Repair Technician

Location: Trident Technical College Main Campus, North Charleston

Cell Phone Repair Technician $899As mobile devices (smartphones, tablets,

etc.) increase in complexity and price, the local market continuously demands cell phone repair technicians to meet the growing needs of the marketplace. With experience in the field, technicians can be self-employed, work as subcontractors or even serve as in-house employees at larger organizations. Résumés are reviewed for relevant experience in cell phone, computer, copier/printer repair, along with soldering or fiber splicing experience.

TTC’s new continuing education program to train cell phone repair technicians allows students to start a new career quickly. Students are taught skills in one of the most in-demand and growing industries around. This course teaches a readily employable skill through a hands-on teaching method where students learn to diagnose, handle and repair commonly broken devices. Students keep the book used during class and all equipment, phones and supplies are provided for training. Basic techniques for proper safety, tool use, device breakdown, and repair are taught.
