BECL Report ~ May 2012 Library Services Exploratorium in the Celeste Bartos Forum at the NYPL Schwarzman building Poetry Collection Our library was selected to receive a poetry collection from the Fund for Public Schools in honor of Caroline Kennedy. The Fund is providing our library with this collection to commemorate Caroline Kennedy’s years of service to schools. Recommendations will come from The Fund for Public Schools and NYC Dept. of Education. We have also been invited to recommend titles for this collection. We are truly honored and excited for this collection and for the positive effect it will have on our library community. Presenting at the Exploratorium We were asked to present our work with LibGuides at the annual Library Services Spring Exploratorium. Our presentation focused on how we use LibGuides to disseminate information to our library community. The presentation was well received by librarians in the NYC Dept. of Education and librarians from different library systems in New York. We look forward to using LibGuides next year to continue integrating multimedia resources, promoting library initiatives, creating additional guides, and providing research help.
