In celebration of the legendary imprint founded two decades ago by Marvel’s CCO Joe Quesada, a new crop of talented creators stand poised to tell a groundbreaking story in the hard-hitting Marvel Knights style! In the cemetery, the blind man does not know who he is, or why he has come to this particular grave. He doesn’t know the burly policeman with the wild story who approaches him. Or the strangely intense man who sits in the rear seat of the patrol car, his eyes fl ashing green. But all that is about to change. Matt Murdock is beginning to remember. In a colorless world without heroes, the spark of light must come from the dark. Together, these individuals face a mystery that can only be unraveled…a threat that can only be challenged…by Knights.

MARVEL KNIGHTS 20TH TPB

Donny Cates is a comic-book writer from Texas. His past works include God Country, Buzzkill, Star Trek and more. For Marvel, Cates has lent his talents to CAPTAIN AMERICA, and then joined the Marvel Legacy lineup on DOCTOR STRANGE and THANOS.

Matthew Rosenberg was born and raised in New York City. He learned how to read — and developed his lifelong love of comics — when he stole his brother’s copies of FANTASTIC FOUR and X-MEN. The child of two writers and little brother of a third, Rosenberg became a comic-book writer because he didn’t really know how to do anything else. At Marvel, he has written KINGPIN, ROCKET RACCOON and SECRET WARRIORS, as well as Marvel Legacy series PUNISHER, TALES OF SUSPENSE and PHOENIX RESURRECTION: THE RETURN OF JEAN GREY.

Travel Foreman fi rst gained notice as artist on indie publisher Com.X’s Cla$$war, later drawing an X-MEN UNLIMITED short story and the DOCTOR SPECTRUM limited series for Marvel in 2004-2005. He subsequently drew Marvel’s ARES limited series in 2005, helping revamp a longtime Marvel villain into a hard-edged hero.

The popularity of his work there led to assignments on INCREDIBLE HULK, MARVEL ADVENTURES SPIDER-MAN, INCREDIBLE HERCULES and SHE-HULKS. The star-spangled costume of Captain America has been a timeless symbol of hope and freedom since his days fi ghting Nazism overseas and McCarthyism at home. This historical retrospective of Steve Rogers’ various uniforms and super-hero mantles is a showcase of America’s ever-evolving sociopolitical landscape. From his early days fi ghting in overt patriotic garb as Captain America during World War II through his adoption of the predominately black uniform and title of the Captain at a time when he became a symbol of resisting absolute government control, Rogers has always worn his allegiance openly. Time and again, Steve has returned to Captain America’s red-white-and-blue iconography, proving that the symbolic clothing of the Sentinel of Liberty stands for a higher ideal than any one person or government can achieve.

Waid enjoyed his greatest outpouring of critical acclaim with the Eisner Award-winning DAREDEVIL — including a revered collaboration with frequent artistic partner Chris Samnee. He later took on such diverse pop-cultural icons as Princess Leia and Archie, and ushered in a new era of greatness for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT AVENGERS. His Marvel work continues with AVENGERS and CHAMPIONS.

Zub divides his time between freelance comic writing and his position as program coordinator for Seneca College’s award-winning animation program. His projects include Samurai Jack, a comic series continuing the award-winning cartoon; Makeshift Miracle, a modern-day fable; Skullkickers, a sword-and-sorcery action-comedy; and Pathfi nder, a comic series based on the best-selling tabletop RPG. MARVEL KNIGHTS PUNISHER BY GARTH ENNIS: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION VOL. 3 TPB

SPEEDBALL CLASSIC: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION TPB

MARVEL MASTERWORKS: THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN VOL. 2 HC

The Marvel Knights era of Punisher comes to an explosive close! First, guns meet blades as Frank faces perhaps the only person more deadly than he is — Elektra! Next, the Punisher heads to the Lone Star State for a high-noon showdown on the streets of Laredo! Then, when Daredevil, Spider-Man and Wolverine join forces to fi nally bring Frank’s killing spree to an end, can he make three of Marvel’s greatest heroes look like a confederacy of dunces? And

how does the Hulk fi gure in to it all? Finally, Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s sequel to their classic “Welcome Back, Frank” sees the resurrection of Ma Gnucci turn the Punisher’s world into a war zone — which is just the way he likes it!

COLLECTING: PUNISHER (2001) 27-37, PUNISHER WAR ZONE (2008) 1-6

Few creators have left their mark like the inimitable Steve Ditko. His unmistakable creative vision brought the world the Amazing Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and, in 1988, Speedball! Together with writers Roger Stern, Tom DeFalco and Jo Duff y, Ditko crafted the adventures of Robbie Baldwin, a high school student with strange other-dimensional powers that create an energetic kinetic fi eld that turn him into Speedball! In the classic Ditko style, Baldwin’s life is complicated — his father is a district attorney with no love for costumed

vigilantes and there is serious marital strife between Robbie’s parents. This Complete Collection brings together every Steve Ditko tale of the New Warrior-to-be for the very fi rst time.

COLLECTING: SPEEDBALL (1988) 1-10 AND MATERIAL FROM AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL (1964) 22, MARVEL AGE ANNUAL (1985) 4, MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS (1988) 14 AND 56 AND MARVEL SUPER-HEROES (1990) 1-2 AND 5-6

Peter Parker’s second SPECTACULAR serving is even greater than the fi rst! The Beetle kicks it off , then Peter heads west to cover the demise of the Champions, leading to a battle between Spider-Man, Angel and Iceman. The White Tiger enters for an extended guest role as the Lightmaster, the Enforcers and the Scorpion turn up the tension. Then, Moon Knight helps Spidey fi ght the Maggia, who retaliate in the form of the Masked Marauder. It’s a multipart

epic pairing Spider-Man and Daredevil and featuring Frank Miller’s fi rst DD artwork! It culminates in the seven-part saga of Carrion, the mysterious rotting horror with hidden ties to Peter Parker’s past and a violent desire to punish him for the death of Gwen Stacy.

NOT BRAND ECHH: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION TPB

When Stan Lee set the tone for the Marvel Age of Comics it came with a healthy dose of humor. What came blasting out was the masterpiece of Silver Age satire Not Brand Echh. Each issue came packed with Marvel’s greatest talents taking a sideways look at the super heroes they made famous (and even some that they didn’t!) Now, Charlie America, Scaredevil, the Revengers, Sore Son of Shmodin, the Sunk-Mariner and the one and only Forbush Man are coming at you. Duck!
