Membership is open to all eligible individuals ages 55 and over, sin-

gle or married. If one spouse is 55 and a member, the other spouse

can be younger. A valid State of Michigan photo ID is required for

If the Senior Center is closed for a holiday or weather emergency,

there will be NO evening events. Inclement weather postings will

We require that all players must be members

groups are designed for experienced players

unless noted otherwise. Dealing will begin

Bid Euchre (6 players)

Like traditional Euchre, it is a trick-taking

game. Each hand, players must first bid the

number of tricks they and their two partners

can take, then the winner of the round de-

clares if they are bidding HIGH, LOW or

name a TRUMP selection. Scores for each

hand are tabulated and the team reaching 63

wins the game. A set of CT house rules are

available at the membership desk upon re-

quest.

Aerobic Mixer with Sabrina W, F $4 Rev it up Wednesday includes an all-day energizer! 35-40 minutes of aerobics with a light upper body weight workout and yoga stretches. Friday Frenzy is a fun filled intense weekend jump start. 40 minutes of

aerobics follow by light yoga stretching and breathing exercises.

Aerobics Plus with Janice M, Th. $4

Combine FUN with FITNESS to increase your cardiovascular and mus-

cular endurance while improving your flexibility and balance. This class

is designed to increase your flexibility and balance. It will get and keep

you moving. We start with low-impact aerobics and end with a strength

workout using hand-help weights, tubing and balls. The center has all the

equipment you need for this class.

Arthritis/Beginner Fitness with Rebecca M, W, F $4

This exercise program is designed to help decrease stiffness and pain using

low impact moves, range of motion and light hand weights. It is not only

for those with Arthritis but also those new to fitness looking to build

strength, stamina, flexibility and balance.

Boot Camp with Janice M $4

This class is no FLUFF or FRILLS. We are straight up strengthening our

bodies using dumbbells and bands.

Bone Builders with Janice M, Th. $4

This 45 minute strength building class will help you become healthier,

stronger and more active! You will learn to improve your balance and

strengthen your muscles to accomplish many of your daily living func-

tions. Learning the proper form and technique of using hand-held weight

will not only improve muscular strength but will also increase bone

density.

Flexibility and Corrective Exercise with Rebecca W,F $4

This class uses exercise to strengthen weak muscles and stretch tight

muscles all at once. By strengthening underused muscles we then can im-

prove the flexibility in muscles that are overworked and tight. Corrective

exercises improves posture, core strength and balance by working muscles

most of us have not used properly for a long time. This class uses bands

for some exercises and requires getting onto the floor for some exercises.

Group Fitness Course Descriptions

Line Dancing Monday $5

Join Herb and Enita for “Hooked on Country” line dancing and feel the

positive effects in your body and soul as we have more fun than should be

allowed in an “exercise” experience!

Meditation with Daniel Monday $4

This is a class to instruct you in the conscious relaxation and focus of the

mind and body. Class begins with some basic spinal mobility and breathing exercise and progresses to focused/

guided meditations.

Pilates with Daniel Thursday $4

Pilates will change your body. In just a few short sessions you can: slim, tone and sculpt, build core strength

look and feel taller and slimmer, enhance flexibility, improve posture and become fitter and stronger! Must be

able to get down on the floor.

SOS (Seniors on Stability) with Rebecca Monday $4

This class utilizes the stability ball for strengthening, conditioning, and cardiovascular benefits. A safe and fun

approach to fitness. In this class you will improve balance, toning, and agility by training your whole body to

work during your normal daily activities. This class will definitely wake up some sleeping muscles! Participants

will be using primarily stability balls and weights for this class, but all exercises can be adapted as needed.

Tai Chi (Wu Style) M, W, F $5 Silver Sneakers $2

Join our Beginners Class to learn the basic forms of this ancient non-aerobic art form that will improve your bal-

ance, flexibility and well-being. Start with beginners and progress into the intermediate. Wear comfortable

clothes and flat shoes preferably without arches.

Walk Fit M-F NO COST

Walk in our climate controlled gym. Cool in the Summer and Toasty in the Winter.

Gentle Yoga with Daniel Tuesday $4

Class begins with breathing exercises, chair warm ups and easy stretching followed by standing and floor

CLUB 55+ LOOK AND FEEL BETTER

Wellness Center M-F 8:30-4:00 p.m. $55/yr.

Looking to keep in shape and stay young at heart? Why not join the Lee Family Well-

ness center at the Senior Center. You will feel better and add quality to your years.

Members must successfully complete our specially developed equipment orientation in

order to utilize the equipment. A current physicians release of liability form completed

and signed by your doctor as well as your annual fees are also required. Your member-

ship to this program will be for one year from the date the doctor gives you permission to

participate. Bring a towel, indoor rubber soled shoes and wear your workout attire.

Orientation for those with special needs can be scheduled on an individual basis. This

will allow us one on one time to

give you the proper instruction to

the equipment and answer any of

your questions you may have.

Those in a special orientation may

bring a personal helper to assist you

on and off the equipment.

Personal Training

For those of you who would like to have an indi-

vidualized work-out routine, we are pleased to in-

troduce you to our Personal Trainer, Rebecca

Metry. Rebecca is a fitness professional that has

been certified though the National Academy of

Personal Trainers and is a certified indoor cycling

instructor. She has worked with

people of all fitness levels; from

the marathon runner to the med-

ically prescribed lifestyle change.

corporates nutrition, cardi-

orespiratory, and resistance

training into each individual

workout. Her passion is to help,

motivate, and encourage people

years. We have traveled the globe and seen some amazing sights!

All of our trips are guided by travel escorts so sit back and enjoy. All

trips depart from the North/East corner of the Clinton Twp. Civic

Center parking lot. Please make sure the Senior Center has your make/model/license plate

number prior to departure. Detailed travel flyers are available in the Senior Center lobby. �
