Mazzio’s  Raises  $15,525  for  United  Way’s  May  Tornado  and  Flood  Relief  Fund    

TULSA,  Okla.  –  Mazzio’s  hosted  a  week-­‐long  fundraiser  for  the  United  Way’s  May  Tornado  and  Flood  Relief  Fund.  During  the  week  of  May  27-­‐31,  Mazzio’s  donated  50  percent  of  proceeds  from  its  lunch  buffet  and  Tuesday  night  dinner  buffet.      Mazzio’s  presented  a  check  for  $15,525  to  the  fund.        “As  a  Tulsa-­‐based  company,  the  people  impacted  by  these  disasters  are  our  friends  and  neighbors  and  we  knew  we  had  to  do  something  to  help,”  said  Lori  Carver,  president  and  CEO  of  Mazzio’s.  “Our  guests  have  once  again  risen  to  the  occasion  to  support  our  community  in  a  time  of  need.”        The  money  raised  will  go  to  United  Way  partner  agencies  that  help  those  in  need  with  food,  clothing  and  shelter.    “Corporate  partners  like  Mazzio’s  who  are  willing  to  give  back  to  the  community  they  serve  are  what  make  our  work  at  the  Tulsa  Area  United  Way  possible.  We  are  very  grateful  to  Mazzio’s  for  being  one  of  the  first  to  step  up  quickly,  setting  a  great  example  of  how  we  can  work  together  to  help  our  neighbors  in  need,”  said  Alison  Anthony,  Tulsa  Area  United  Way  President  and  CEO.
