Stella Maris College, Chennai (SMC) is pleased to announce a unique collaboration with Dominican College, New York (DC) through which students can earn an American MBA after 16 months of study. Dominican College has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). This collaboration is made possible with the assistance of George & Associates Consulting, NY (GAC).

How It WorksStudents will spend their first semester (three months) taking three courses (9 credit hours) at SMC. The syllabi for these courses are provided by DC and will be taught by expert faculty hired by SMC who will teach under the supervision of the Department of Commerce. These faculty will also be mentored by the Business faculty at DC.
Interested students will first apply to the MBA program at Dominican College. Once accepted into the program, the students can take the first three courses at Stella Maris College and earn a grade point average of B or above in order to continue their study at Dominican College. Students are granted a waiver from submitting a GRE or GMAT score. The student will also be provided with the necessary documents to apply for a US student visa subject to submission and review of relevant documents.. The India Office of GAC will work with each student to assemble the required financial documents for the consular office and help them prepare for the visa interview. Once a visa is granted, the student will travel to DC to begin their 12 months of study to complete their MBA degree.
Eligibility and Application ProcessThis program is designed for individuals with an undergraduate degree from a NAAC Grade A institution in India. Recent graduates as well as working professionals are encouraged to apply. We expect students to have a 65% or higher average in their UG program and submit 2 letters of recommendation to be considered for admission, as demonstrated through official transcripts/mark sheets. There are limited spots available. Applications will be accepted on June 1, 2019 and classes will commence September 1, 2019.

Stella Maris College is a Catholic Minority Institution of higher education for women, affiliated to University of Madras. It is managed by the Society of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM), a congregation founded in Ootacamund, Tamil Nadu in 1877.
Stella Maris College became autonomous in 1987. The College has 19 departments offering 42 programs and an enrollment of more than 5000 students from diverse backgrounds, communities and nations. Postgraduate diplomas and certificates courses are also offered. The College was accredited by NAAC and awarded an A grade and a CGPA of 3.68 on a 4-point scale in 2014.
