Work and Pay Satisfaction of Employees of business firms in Region 02CHAPTER IBACKGROUND OF THE STUDYINTRODUCTIONThere is no better way of grasping the satisfaction of staff or personnel in an enterprise than to consider his attitude and response to the work assignment as itself a source of job satisfaction.Further, Maslow in his hierarchy of needs also conformed of how well a job can be well carried on when these needs are fulfilled and realized. This fulfillment is a concrete evidence of satisfaction in one work assignment and job performance. These need are Physiological needs, Safety needs, Social needs, Esteem needs and the highest of which is Self-actualization and attainment of his lifes goals. In an analogy, this clearly relates to ones job performance. If one does well in his work, he feels self-actualized, self-fulfilled, a reward for greater than material concern. The important aspect that has its force in the world of work is the feeling that the job to be done is important and preferably that others also feel the same way. This sense of importance of ones job is first of all the product of the ways in which the job is valued in the enterprise and in the society.Job satisfaction in educative process has to be considered as it is in a business enterprise. When teachers are satisfied in their work and has all the condition inherit therein, it will come out to something productive and that it all worth spending the money, time, and the effort. Furthermore, the administration, should also determine the aspect that need to be developed from each of them in contributing his service for the betterment of the system. Some motivating factors that facilitates work includes good working conditions, salary increase, promotions, training work schedule and good relationship between and among the employees and the community. These factors would lead to employees job satisfaction that would motivate them to perform better hence resulting to quality teaching-learning process and better outcome. It is along this line that, the author deemed it necessary to conduct this study.STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:This study aims to determine the work and pay satisfaction of employees of business firms in Region 02.Specifically it sought to answer the following questions:1. What is the personal profile of the respondents in terms of:i. Ageii. Sexiii. Civil Statusiv. Educational Attainmentv. Eligibilityvi. Salary2. What is the level of work and pay satisfaction of the employees of business firms in Region 02.3. What are the problems of the employees of business firms in Region 02 in relation to their work and pay satisfaction in terms ofi. Recruitmentii. Promotionsiii. Workloadiv. Salary v. BenefitsBASIC ASSUMPTIONThis study learned on the following assumptions to give direction and meaning of the objectives aimed at:1. That the profile of the respondents such as age, sex, educational attainment, eligibility, civil status, salary and present work affects work performance and pay satisfaction.2. That there is a significant relationship between the independent and the dependent variables.CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORKWhen employees are satisfied in the work they have and all the aspects that define and govern job performance, material get properly utilized and turn out productive and gainful. It is upon this concept that this study is hinged upon.DEPENDENT VARIABLESINDEPENDENT VARIABLES

CHAPTER 3RESEARCH METHODS AND PROCEDUREThis chapter presents the methods and procedure in gathering the data needed for the present study. It presents and discussed the type of research to be used. The respondents of the study, the locale of the study, the research instruments, the data gathering procedure and the statistic tools to be used.RESEARCH DESIGNThe researcher used the descriptive method in conducting this study. This method was used to gather information about present existing condition. Correlating the variables in this study was made to determine their relationship.THE RESPONDENTSThe Computer of Cagayan Valley Computer and Information Technology College were the respondents. Among the 12 Instructor in the school for the school year 2001-2002, 10 of this total number were given questionnaire and only 12 responded.LOCALE OF THE STUDYThe researcher conducted her study at Cagayan Valley Computer and Information Technology College.THE RESEARCH INSTRUMENTThere are two major instrument the researcher used in gathering her data. The primary instrument is the questionnaire-checklist and the secondary instrument is the interview method. The researcher deems this indispensable as what has surfaced not only to crosscheck the gathered data through the questionnaire, but amplified and strengthen them.DATA GATHERING PROCESSTo ensure the cooperation of the subjects and for the smooth flow of the data gathering process, the researcher asked for permission from the school president of Cagayan valley Computer and Information Technology College. The questionnaire was given individually to the faculty members. The researcher administered the questionnaire to the selected Instructor who would be able to meet the established criteria to qualify them as respondents of the study.STATISTICAL TREATMENTFor the in-depth interpretation of the data, the result will be tabulated and presents in tables.1. Percentage method will be used to determine the relationships of a part of a whole. P= N/Total of Respondents*100 Where: P= Percentage N= Total Number of responses2. Weighted mean was used to show the respondents problem on their work. WeightRangesinterpretation

Phase IINTRODUCTIONA. STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThe purpose of the development of this project was to acquire knowledge and confidence to complete in handling the planning and development of bookkeeping system. Likewise, it aimed to know the particular skills in recording transactions, posting the ledgers and preparing the final accounts of the different sales of the business as well as to describe the processes of the recording purchases, sales and cash transactions. It further aimed to guide the future system developer in order to create a good and functional system that will help the business society.B. SYSTEM OVERVIEWBookkeeping is the recording of all financial transactions undertaken by an individual or an organization. The organization may be a business, a charitable organization or even a local sports club. Bookkeeping is keeping records of what is bought, sold, owed, and owned; what money comes in, what goes out, and what is left. A financial transaction is any event that involves money.Individual and family bookkeeping involves keeping track of income and expenses in a cash account record, checking account register, or savings account passbook. Individuals who borrow or lend money also track how much they owe to others or are owed form others.Bookkeeping may be performed using papers and a pen or pencil. When increasing complexity in tax regulations and to minimize calculations errors, many organizations used accounting software to assist in bookkeeping. There are several reasons why one needs to keep accounts. First, because the success or failure of a business is not measured primarily in the quality of a businesss products or the services it provide, but in financial terms-in other words, profit. A permanent record of a businesss affairs is therefore required. Secondly, company requires its share of the profit, and they will demand-whether or not the business has made profit-financial statements at the end of each year which can be supported by documentary evidence. To ensure that the business runs smoothly and the various statutory requirements are met, it will need to have a system for keeping the records in easily accessible files, and personnel records when it takes on an employee.Obviously, each business is different and has its own accounting needs. The most important thing is to set up a bookkeeping system that can develop with the business.Computerized bookkeeping removes many of the books that are used to record transactions and enforces double entry bookkeeping. Computer software increases the speed at which bookkeeping can be performed.C. PROBLEM DEFINITIONThe researchers found several problems in the manual system of bookkeeping such as:1. Errors in recording of daily sales information;2. Delay in generating financial and sales daily reports3. Time consuming 4. Forms were missing due to misplacementD. SYSTEM OBJECTIVEGenerally, the objective of this system is to develop software that will facilitate job operation in recording and retrieving transactions of a certain company; It specially aimed to:1. To transfer the manual system into computerized system;2. To reduce the problems that often arises as result of the existing manual system;3. To develop software that will minimize time, effort and maximize efficiency of personnel in their job;4. To secure the records of the establishment;5. To reduce if not totally eliminate the delay of report generation.E. SYSTEM ADVANTAGEThe creation and implementation of a Computer-Based Bookkeeping System was generally considered to be more comprehensive and reliable than the existing manual system. It enabled data facilitation faster and more accurate, thus improved the flow and control of information. The following advantages were found in this system:1. The clarity and reliability of information processing could be more facilitated through a computer-based system.2. It provided intact storage of information because transaction could be done electronically and store in a compact but secured storage.3. It was faster and more accurate in accessing data.4. It was found to be more efficient and effective.
