Friday, September 21 Peer Meeting at 2:00 pm. Location To Be Announced. Friday, September 21 Fall Craft at 2:00 pm in the Great Room. Monday, September 24 Resident Council at 2:00 pm in the Comprehensive Care Living Room. Monday, September 24 Movie at 2:00 pm in the Great Room. Friday, September 28 National Coffee Day with Coffee Tastings from Aegis Coffee Roaster at 2:00 pm in the Great Room. Grandparents Day In 1970, Marian McQuade, a housewife in Fayette County, WV, initiated a campaign to set aside a special day for grandparents nationwide. She wanted to motivate grandchildren to tap into the wisdom and heritage their grandparents could provide. In 1973, West Virginia proclaimed the first Grandparents Day in the U.S. In 1978, President Jimmy Carter proclaimed that National Grandparents Day would be celebrated every year on the first Sunday after Labor Day. WRC is selling Daffin’s Candy Bars for $1.00 each. All proceeds benefit WRC Senior Services. Daffin Candy Bars Friday, August 3 was National Watermelon Day! Water Balloon Fight

Residents and staff had a blast at

our outside water balloon fight!

In honor of all those who lost their lives during the

terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, President

George W. Bush declared September 11 to be
