Non-European citizens can apply for travel visa at the local embassy which takes up to 10 days.

Buying a property of 300,000 Euros and above allows the purchaser to apply for permanent residency immediately. Cyprus has introduced a speedy procedure that only takes up to 60 days.

Once PR is given the purchaser only needs to visit Cyprus once every 2 years and have their papers stamped. This allows the client easy access to the rest of the EU from Cyprus.

INTERNATIONAL ENERGY TERMINAL BY VITOL

The construction of an international energy terminal has started by the largest energy trader in the world – VITOL – 1,000 new jobs will be created during the construction period, which will last until 2014. The operation of the facility will add €16 billion to public assets on an annual basis. The project is expected to cost €220 million.

UNDERWATER ELECTRICITY POWER CABLE

Cyprus began a feasibility study for the construction of an underwater electric cable connecting the Eastern Mediterranean to Europe. The Euro-Asia Interconnector will stretch 1,000 kilometers (600 miles) in total at a maximum depth of 2,000 meters, making it the most ambitious project ever of its kind, the cable itself will take three years to build.

An investment of €1.5 billion over 3 years.
