Parametric associationInventor creates a shape parametrically. For example, the parameter (diameter) needs to be specified for drawing a circle as illustrated below. Parametric modeling allows you to control every aspect of a model and drawing during and after the design and documentation process.

Understanding ConstrainsConstraints are added in the form of dimensions and geometric associations. The use of well-defined constraints preserves specific design intentions, even as revisions are made. Over constrain

• Invertor will not allow contradicted constrains. An error massage will appear if over constrain was detected. For example, two lines can’t be parallel and perpendicular simultaneously.

Modifying sketch

A good technique used for sketching is to sketch roughly then modify the sketch using modification tools and constraints or combining sketches.
