ACME activities :Association of Canara Machanincal Engineers conducted the following activities in this Semester

1. A Faculty‐Student meet was held on 19th Jan to discuss the planning and nominating committee heads of the department. Dr. Ganesh V. Bhat, principal, CEC, addressed the students. Dr. B. Krishna Prabhu, HOD (ME) and different committee members present.

2. Various Extracurricular and co-curricular activities were organized under ACME like sports, Machinist, treasure hunt, quiz etc.

3. Group Discussion competition was organized for all second and third year students on 7th, 28th march, and 11th April 2015. The preliminary rounds of group discussion was held on first two days, a total of 102 students from 4th sem and 60 students of 6th sem participated. 24 students from each semester were selected for next rounds and 12 students out 24 qualified for the finals from each semester.

4. National level technical symposium was organize on 28th and 29th April. Students from our college and neighbor college took part in various non‐technical events like Dominoes, Futsal and auto quiz. Cash prizes were given on spot to the winners.

5. Entrepreneurship awareness program And Recycle Cell was Inaugurated on 30th Jan 2015 in association with NSS wing of CEC. The cell started with an objective to collect the used and unused papers available in the college and segregated the papers and redistribute to the students.

6. A blood donation camp was organized on 07.04.2015 in association with KMC Mangalore. Mrs. DeepaAdiga, Blood bank officer and HODs of all the department were present during the inauguration. 24 students and 5 staff members including HOD from Mechanical Engineering department donated blood for noble cause.

7. A campaign was organized towards Nepal Earth Quake relief fund. A sum of Rs. 18,000/- was donated by students and staff. The amount was handed over to District Commissioner of Mangalore in the form of DD.
