Essential Café was originally conceived to serve the ever expanding café/coffee shop sector with a high quality magazine that the sector needs to stay informed communicating the latest trends, tastes and training information. The magazine is distributed to over 5,000 decision makers in the UK with the printed version being published every month (12 issues published per year) and In addition to the printed copy of the magazine, we deliver an electronic version of the complete monthly issue to the reader’s inbox every month.
The Essential Café magazine circulation list has been carefully constructed resulting in a reader database of the key decision makers within the industry, the very people you need to reach to buy your products and services.
Decision makersQuality is what a magazine’s circulation is all about, you need to know that every recipient of the magazine has the power to either purchase or specify your products or services. This is precisely the circulation you will be reaching with Essential Café magazine.
The Market SizeThe total of branded coffee shops in the UK soared from 748 in 1999 to 5,246 by December 2012. There were 4,831 non specialist outlets at December 2012, up from only 522 in 1999. But in 1999 there were already 4,100 independent coffee shops, rising to 5,633 by December 2012 *Source: Allegra Stratagies. Not only does Essential Café reach all the major buying points within the branded coffee shop sector, a major part of the magazine’s circulation reaches independent coffee shops, the very people who are able to buy your products or services.

TradeAwards
March 4, 2014 will witness the return of the Essential Café Trade awards and Gala dinner. Following on from the highly successful first awards, the event has now been combined with our new Trade show Essential Café Live! and will take place at Sandown Park, the evening before the Trade show on March 5. The newly renovated event facilities at Sandown will provide a great backdrop for the event, as well as stunning night time panoramas of London to the North. The industry’s very own Trade AwardsAs well as hosting the Awards, the Gala dinner is intended to be a night to remember, so dress to impress and bring your dancing shoes as there will be a live band. There will also be a few other surprises thrown in, more details of which will be revealed as we move closer to the event.
The Awards observe the highest standards in terms of objectivity and impartiality, as the majority of the Awards are decided in closed session by an independent panel of judges. Not even the judges know who has won until the night itself! The Awards are decided entirely on the entries presented to the panel, where companies are asked to quantify, explain and justify why they deserve the Award referring to the strict criteria for each category. Only the Operator/Owner and Outstanding Achievement Award are at the discretion of the Essential Café team.

TradeShow
A new trade show conceptThe trade show the café, coffee shop and hospitality sector has been waiting for has arrived! Affordable, accessible and designed to offer maximum benefit to visitors and exhibitors alike, Essential Café Live! takes place on March 5, 2014 and is set to transform the trade show experience for the hospitality sector.
The Essential Café Live! Show is the primary sourcing and selling opportunity for the UK foodservice industry. As an exhibitor, Essential Café Live! is the obvious event choice to help you win orders in a competitive market. above all, the show provides the truly unique benefit of genuine face-to-face encounters with decision makers who have purposely left their business to call on you!
Competitive PricingEssential Café Live! space rates are amongst the lowest in Britain, even compared to niche events attracting a fraction of the audience. Exhibitor rates are deliberately calculated to provide exhibitors with the return on investment they need to make the show a must.
Why Exhibit?Every trade show needs to deliver in three
key areas for it to be a success for its exhibitor partners: Affordability, a quality venue and quality footfall. ROI is of course easier to achieve if the initial outlay is affordable, the show’s rates are extremely competitive.Sandown Park offers all on one level load in and out, thousands of free car parking spaces and plenty of affordable accommodation within easy reach of the venue.
In order to achieve the right footfall for the exhibitors, we will be regularly marketing the benefits of the show to cafés and snack bars, coffee shops, contract caterers, hotels, restaurants, leisure clubs and facilities managers. The Essential Café Live! footfall will include an element from all these industry sectors. There will also be an extensive marketing campaign through the pages of Essential Café magazine, the leading and only monthly café/coffee shop publication.
The stand rate for Essential Café Live! is a jaw dropping £99 per square metre offering exhibitors the best rate in the business.
