Masthead mood-board analysis As I could find next to no magazines on the same genre as what I have decided to use as mine, I used some other magazine genre mastheads as well as track covers for the genre I have chosen, to analyze and see the style used in those.

ColoursI noticed whilst searching for magazine mastheads the colours red black and white in different amounts were the most common, as these colours stand out when used together. However for the album colours it much more different as they are made to go with the cover so they chose their own that use that will go with colours all across the spectrum.

The fontThe fonts for the masthead are also dependent on the topic. Magazines on older genre might use a more retro design, where as a more modern one might have something more sleek and stylish. For album covers it is the same as the colours designed to go with the style from cartoonish to retro and even some puzzle like designs (sort of like an illusion).

What will I use.For my cover I will go more in the direction of albums for the colour seeing what will best compliment my cover image, however for the font I will try and find one more along the lines of more recent music magazines for newer genres and try and make it seem more sleek.
