Q3: What kind of media institution might distribute your media product

and why?

Production and Distribution company

For the thriller opening, we used the college ident as the production company.

We made our own distribution company for the opening and it is called ‘Red Line Pictures’ for our film ‘Code Red’.

Major or Small company We decided to use a smaller

independent company as we thought that bigger companies such as Warner Bros and Universal may not support a low budget film.

It would also not make any sense to have a big company support and distribute a film that is low budget.

Suitability

I believe that our company ‘Redline Pictures’ is most suitable for the distribution of our movie as it would make more sense to have a low budget film distributed by an independent company.

What types of film would our distribution company distribute to?

Since our company is a small private, it would support low budget films. This is because it gives the chance for low budget films to be distribute as well as high budget films.

Promotional Campaign.

Since we have aimed at young adults 18+ we decided to promote this film over social networks such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, tumblr and instagram.

This way it can attract our main target audience.
