Mediation Accreditation

The Hon. Wayne Martin AC QC was Chief Justice of Western Australia 2006 - 2018. Prior to his appointment, he specialised at the Bar in commercial disputes. As Chief Justice he created and managed the Arbitration List of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and published many decisions in that field. A highly experienced mediator, he conducted many mediations as a judge while developing an award winning mediation program for the Supreme Court. He currently takes appointments as a mediator and arbitrator.

The Hon. Kevin Lindgren AM QC is a former judge of the Federal Court of Australia, 1994 – 2010, and the President of the Copyright Tribunal of Australia, 2000-2007. His Honour decided cases across the full range of the Federal Court’s jurisdiction and previously practised as a Queen’s Counsel in commercial law. He received the award of Member of the Order of Australia for his service to the judiciary and administration of justice and legal education in 2012. He is a highly experienced mediator, arbitrator and referee.

Dr Sam Luttrell is Partner in the International Arbitration Group at Clifford Chance, Perth, practising in international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitration. He is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. Sam was Australian International ADR Practitioner of the Year in 2017 and 2018, and Australian Arbitration Practitioner of the Year in 2019. He is individually ranked in Chambers Global, listed in the main list of “Who’s Who Legal” (Arbitration) and named on the Australian Financial Review list of “Australia’s Best Lawyers”.

Deborah joined ADC in 2013, following 25 years’ commercial dispute resolution experience with a range of ASX 100 and Fortune 500 companies, including as Head of Dispute Resolution for ING Australia. Completing her first mediation training in 1993, Deborah was accredited as an Advanced Mediator by ADC in 2009. Bringing the multifaceted perspectives of a client negotiator, the mediator and the ADR institution, Deborah leads the ADC’s global training faculty in delivering its flagship ADR programs domestically and internationally.
