MEDICAL CODER / BILLER CURRICULUM

The Medical Coder / Biller Program will provide the student instruction in the medical field. Comprehensive

instruction in medical terminology, medical insurance policies and procedures, insurance coding applications,

billing systems, computer skills application in an automated office is provided. Employment opportunities

include positions as coding specialist, medical biller, medical data entry, medical insurance records specialist,

and medical receptionist. Successful completion of this program leads to a diploma.

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties, such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, or move patients, or change linens.
