Program ObjectivesThe coding program is designed to teach students the coding and classification systems used in health care settings. This information is used for statistical purposes as well as to ensure those settings receive the correct reimbursement from third-party payers. The students will learn in-patient coding practices both manually and via a coding software program.

Job OpportunitiesThe job opportunities include coding and coding supervision in various health care settings including hospitals, clinics, coding agencies, and coding program vendors. With today’s technological advances, these opportunities include at-home coding, and travel possibilities.
