Admission criteria and application procedureQualifying for the English semesterApplicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or should have completed at least 3 years of study in Medicine.

If training activities at the University Hospital are considered, applicants should be in their second Master year, have sufficient knowledge of medical English, engage in a Dutch language course before starting the exchange period, be vaccinated against hepa-titis B and have a recent negative tbc-test.

Language requirementsLectures, skill trainings and study material are provided in English. Exams can be taken in English for the Erasmus students.

Other medicine courses Registration for other courses and clinical trainings is also possi-ble. However, these courses are taught in Dutch and therefore an intensive Dutch language course is strongly recommended before starting the exchange period. Such language courses are organ-ised in September and January at the beginning of each semester and are free of charge. If the Dutch language is not completely obtained, training activities cannot be guaranteed.

Application procedure and contactsNomination deadline of the students selected by the home uni-versity is May 15th 2011 for 1st semester and full year students and October 15th for 2nd semester students.
