Medicare is replacing SSN with Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI)

Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP)
Provides additional safeguard if you feel you have enrolled in the wrong Medicare
Advantage Plan
The following changes are allowed during this time:
You may switch from their current Medicare Advantage plan to a new Medicare
Advantage plan
You may disenroll from their current Medicare Advantage plan, and return to original
Medicare (only Part A and Part B) and enroll into a stand-alone Prescription drug plan
This new Medicare Advantage OEP will not help if you did not enroll during Annual Open
Enrollment (Oct 5-Dec 7)
Effective in 2019 a new Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period
will take place from January 1 – March 31, 2020
