On-going programmes from Term 1
• Remedial for selected students (Term 1-4)
- EMS & MT, Mondays & Thursdays according to schedule

Changes from P2 to P3
• Bigger class enrolment ( 30 to 40 pupils). • More seat / written work • New subject – Science • From bite-sized assessments to two main exams (SA1 and SA2) • CCA
Parental Support for Child :
Changes from P2 to P3
Encourage child to be more responsible and more self-disciplined in :
• packing his/her own school bag according to daily time table
• his/her interactions with friends in school • the completion of school homework first • having a home timetable to follow to ensure
daily revision and enough rest time
Teachers’ Support for Pupils :

• Form Teacher Guidance Period (FTGP) teach pupils to understand self, his
emotions & decisions, his interactions with peers & family
• Form Teacher Interaction Time ( FTIT) one-to-one chat between Teacher &
Pupil to understand pupil better

Class Homework – Objectives & Guidelines
Objectives Pupils are able to • practise the skills taught • process the information learnt • learn to be more independent
Primary 3 • Homework for English, Mathematics, Science and
Mother Tongue • About 1 hour in total every weekday
Class Homework – Parental Support
Parents can help their child by: • spending time to go through his/her school work • helping him/her to learn through homework
assignments • assisting him/her to establish a good pattern of
study • consulting teachers on their child’s progress
P3 Holistic Assessment
• At P3, focus on building pupils’ confidence and competency
• Move away from bite-sized assessment in P1 & P2
• Emphasis on formative assessments within lesson
• Assessment Plan given to parents termly – both weighted and non-weighted tests included
• Assessment tasks filed in Pupils Portfolio (black file). Portfolio returned to parents termly for acknowledgment.
• Progress Card issued for Term 1 & 3.
• Holistic Report Card issued for Term 2 and Term 4.
