Hello parents and students!
Welcome to the Belle Aire Student Ministry Packet! This packet contains the major information pertaining to everything happening in the student ministry for this school year. We are all so excited about everything that we have planned!
If you know me at all you know that I absolutely love to have fun. I love riding roller coasters with the students at amusement parks, riding water slides, and play-ing crazy games. However, the main purpose of this ministry is not just to have fun. Instead, in the Belle Aire student ministry, we strive to partner with families in forming our students into passionate and Biblically-grounded disciples of Jesus. Whether it be our Wednesday night worship, our Sunday morning life groups, or random trips to fast-food restaurants around Murfreesboro, we try to have all that we do contribute to that one goal, given to us from Jesus himself (Matt 28:19).
As the student pastor I pray that this ministry would be a tremendous resource for you all, both as parents and as students. Additionally, I myself want to serve you the very best that I can and will be continually lifting up all of us in prayer. If I can ever do anything for you, please reach out to me. Meet The Staff
Braley Chambers - Student Pastor Birthday - October 2 Favorite Food - Burgers or Fish Tacos…or pulled pork sandwiches… Favorite Place I have been - I really love Cartagena, Colombia 🇨🇴 . My wife’s family is from only about an hour away from there, and so we get to visit relatively frequently. Cartagena is a beach town in Colombia that dates back to the 16th century. It is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been and the food there is amazing. Favorite way to spend my free time - In my free time I love playing sports and just be-ing physically active. Also, I really love exploring new restaurants and coffee shops with my wife, Gabby. Something I am looking forward to this year - Since this is my first year at Belle Aire, I am most excited about the relationships that I am making and will continue to make with the people here. Favorite Scripture - 1 Timothy 1:15-16. I love these two verses so much because it is a constant reminder of the Lord’s patience with us. God intentionally saved one of the worst men and made him an apostle, and he did so to prove a point: He is far more patient and merciful with us than we can possibly imagine.
Emily Watson- Student and College Ministry Secretary Birthday - June 30th Favorite Food - My mother-in-law’s Thanksgiving dressing Favorite Place You Have Been - Our family loves to travel and explore new places abroad and in the states. We try to travel at least three times a year whether near or far, but my favorite place I have been will always be my Grandparent’s farm in Liberty, Tn. Their farm and the 150 year old farmhouse shaped my life as it felt as if time stood still and all the worries of the world could be fixed swinging on their front porch swings. Favorite Way to Spend My Free Time - I enjoy reading, concerts, baking/cooking, date nights, and family game nights. Something I am looking forward to this year - Working with Braley and the other new ministers/employees at Belle Aire. Learning each other’s strengths and weaknesses as friendships grow. Being a part of something bigger than ourselves as God’s plan works through us at Belle Aire. Favorite Scripture - I Thessalonians 5:16-18 "be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances. This is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.". This scripture is a gentle reminder for me to stay focused on the positives giving all glory to God. It’s hard to be negative when you’re living in a mindset of thankfulness.
